my wife and i went down there for our first ever vacation. hurricane matthew was set to hit right in the middle of the week we were there. forecast said rain all week for 10 days. expect as much as 10 inches of rain. it rained maybe 5 minutes total the whole time we were there. when it did rain, I remembered I had a covered drink and kept partyin in the pool. dont worry. you will have a blast, and if it does rain, drink more so you dont remember it. have a blast on your first trip guys.
Just got back, rained a few time during the day but not for very long, rained for a while one day, very early hours, and ended before anything started. Cloudy for a while and cooled down, but not really a problem. Had a great time. Ed & Pam
We've been down there 6 or 7 times and it almost always rains once. But like in the other posts, it doesn't last long. Last year, the best day (and ironically the day we drank the most) was when it rained and was cloudy.artyhorn:
last Feb it rained one afternoon for a couple of hours, no problem, either your wet in the pool or wet outside the pool, whats the difference? Also rained one evening at pady o's, can you say wet T shirt!?!? :flash: It is warm enough there even when it is raining.
That is the one crappy thing about Cancun... if it rains, You still have to party and Drink all day LOL...
While getting a tan is a nice touch to the vacation..I'm with you on drinking all day Just picked up my powdered Gatorade today.
Gvic...where did you find it? I have never noticed here in Canada...I enjoy having drinks, but my husband points out I am miserable in the am. Any thing that helps is appreciated
