Thought we’d add our own trip report to the one already written by JofAz for our Halloween trip. Highlights and lowlights- in no certain order- First of all, this was a great group of people to get to know and party with. I know that I’m going to forget names so I’ll use their screen names: Moverbob (and of course his lovely wife), Sexinvegas, JofAz, Aragincajin, Nuttyrat, Charmergirl, Dizzyblonde51, Bobette3899, Alnann. Nurse and Drjohn. Doug and Val, Canadian Dos Equis fan, Rdeangel, Sheandme, Mikeanddee, Smokey, Pretvip and PTcruiser (and I’m sure there were others, please forgive us if we left off your names). This was the first time we met another couple (Doug and Val) from our home state of Maryland- and they actually live not too far from us. And then there was Porky… for those of you who were there, I know you saw and heard him. At least 6 foot 3, 300 lbs with hands the size of footballs- a lumberjack from Arkansas and a fun, fun guy to party with. Our trip started off lousy- while waiting on the tarmac at BWI, a few mechanics came on board. A few minutes later the captain announced that we had to go back to the gate and de-board- major bummer. After about 20 minutes, they re-boarded us (with a bit of trepidation) and we backed away from the gate again- luckily it was not anything major (emissions from the jet engine were being sucked into the plane and there was a “funny smell” in the back section of the plane). WHEW, finally took off and landed in Cancun about an hour later than originally planned, so not too bad. Got the green light at customs, caught the Best Day shuttle van and arrived at the resort. Upgraded to a Jacuzzi room after haggling a bit on the price- and ended up with a room right across from the bikini Bar. Thanks to Lulu (bartender) for serving us while we sat on our patio a few late afternoons. Our first night there was the casino and lingerie night. So glad they changed the policy to having to be dressed to get in and NO cameras. As on our previous trips, we ended up at the gaming tables. Of course both Joyce and I just had to get the maximum number of chips so we both ended up in our birthday suits- I was at a roulette table and Joyce was at Chino’s blackjack table. We both kept winning enough chips to stay at our respective tables until they shut the games down and I ended up with enough funny money to bid and win one of the fantastic t-shirts they auctioned off. This was the only nite we went to Nice Shoes Disco. All other nites were spent at Paty O’s- and had a great time every nite there. Sergio’s Booze cruise was amazing as always (our 3rd time doing it). Clear skies and calm seas made for a great time and the entertainment at Carlos and Charlies by some of the people from our boat was over the top. This was the only time we left the resort the entire week there. We’ve known Sergio for at least 5 years now… so there was a lot of good-natured ribbing between Joyce and him, especially since he wore a Steelers hat and Joyce wore her Raven’s visor all week. The Halloween costume party was amazing. Chinos for whatever reason, picked Joyce and I as two of the judges. Talk about a rough decision, but I think the contestants that were chosen were worthy to be in the finals- and it was nice to see 2 of the contestants from cancuncare in the final four, with one of them winning the whole thing. Of course, the Burger King guy did a great job, but came up a bit short (no pun intended). We are now fans of the alcohol infused whip cream in a can. Thanks to Dr John and Mover Bob, a few of the afternoons in the sexy pool were very enjoyable (wink, wink). The wait staff and bartenders (including Lulu, Javier, Pablo, Tiger, Oliver, Daniel, Jose etc. etc.) were amazing as always- as repeaters, it’s enjoyable getting a welcome back hug (Joyce) or handshake (me) from them. Waiters in all the restaurants for the most part were very attentive. Breakfast every morning in the buffet drinking mimosas but only ended up eating dinner there twice all week. Had very nice meals both in the TexMex (no reservations required) and Italian restaurants. It was especially nice that MoverBob (I think that’s who it was) set up reservations for a large group of us at the Italian for Saturday nite. Although the games have definitely been toned down, the entertainment staff does a great job of making them enjoyable. Of course, there is only one Chinos and we’re glad that he still pushes the envelope. All in all it was a wonderful week and we still have smiles on our faces remembering all the good times. It was very nice to meet you. I was the NY Giants fan who was talking with you in the pool jacuzzi on Friday, we were gone the next morning so we didn't get to spend too much time with you. I do have one question I have wanted to ask someone who has been there multiple times... How do you past the time until you go back. We can't wait!!! We have other vacations booked so it we really can't get back there for a whole year... It's been 2 weeks and we are having withdrawl. It truly is Paradise. Best Wishes, Paul

Very nice trip report!! Again it was such a wonderful trip. I remembered 90% of the events . I really think Tina only remembered 50% haha. We have Fotki pics that will be posted later today. We had a great time, already planning for next year, maybe around the same time. After Pam coming back with a belly button ring, the kids think we have lost our minds, but daughter is wanting to come to TTR for their honeymoon next year. Thanks to all that made this trip great. Ed & Pam
