    Hey everyone,
I'm bringing my boyfriend to Cancun for his first time out of the states. He's a Miller lite beer drinker, and is worried he wont like any of the local beers...I used to live in Cancun, and I dont remember seeing it in walmart or in any of the mini supers. Does anyone know if you can get Miller Lite or even Bud lite any place in town?

They have Miller Lite in a number of stores. I was at the Suprerama on Bonampak yesterday and they had Miller Lite.

I am a Miller Lite girl and I think Sol and Tecate Light are pretty similar. You will not find Miller Lite at hotels or at the bars in the HZ..MAYBE Bud, but that is just plain nasty!!!!

Why would you not take in all the wonderful local beers...........

Tori B has the answer to miller or bud. Drink the local beer and save your money from buying US beer.

Miller Lite. Give fire00starter a break there boyfriend. If you like Miller Lite, you can find any number of Mexican brewed beers that will suit your tastes. I suggest Modelo Lite, or Pacifico if you are cool without it being a Lite.

And as ToriB says, and believe me she can consume some serious beer, there is not a pesos worth of difference in the Sol / Tecate, etc. And they are better than Corona IMHO.

    Have fun on your trip.

Thanks TJ. I accept that recognition...if it were the slightest bit true. I think the last time you and I were out, my one beverage lasted the entire time.
I hate all other beers in the US except Miller Lite... I even appeared in a few commercials. So please, follow my advice. I wont let you down.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Its almost embarrasing that he's worries about something like that, but he doesnt drink booze, and is kinda reluctant of trying new things...something I have to live with I guess! BTW, I'm a huge fan of Victoria. Thats my beer of choice when I'm in MX. Cant get it here in Wisconsin....
