I am one who thoroughly loves the food at the Restaurants, especially Il Piacere. I also love trying a wide variety of foods and sucking down a good bottle of wine. Is there anyone out there who has tried any restaurants outside the resort and had a great experience? We would probably have a group of 6 or more people. I have heard the La Habicheula Sunset is really good. Any suggestions would be appreciated. December cannot get here fast enough.

Thanks, we did one restaurant last year with some friends and it was great. The waiters served large goblets of Tecate beer and brought them to the table balancing on their heads. Cant remember the name though, must have been the Tecate, haha.

Another vote for La Habicheula. Excellent variety for a group and I cannot imagine that their selection of vino is anything but excellent.

La Parilla is another choice, although much more of a margarita atmosphere than vino.

Be sure to talk to one of the bartenders about these and they will give you some sort of reference that I expect they get something back for doing. We have always taken a cab to downtown (authentic Mexican Cancun) and had the cabby pick us back up when we were finished. Give yourself plenty of time.

We really like Lorenzillos. It is geat if you can get a table outside at sunset. This is from my wife's birthday in July.
