    Hi everyone,

this will be my first time in cancun so looking for some help in particular from fellow UK travellers. any non UK please give your advice also.

I just want to know who you have booked your holiday with, and how much you have paid including hotel? its bloody expensive so I am looking for a good deal. going with a friend.

    is booking aparments cheaper?

whats the ratio like with women and men? is it true what they say about cancun having a lady for every guy? do guys/girls go there simply to have sex and go crazy?

when does spring break start and finish?

any one looking to meet up in cancun hit me up also?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the Boards.

I paid 1750 pounds for an doubleroom at the Grand Oasis for 14 days. incl Flight from Hamburg. It was with Meiers Weltreisen / German Co-Brand of Thomas Cook.

Check if you can get an cheap flight and book the hotel seperatly.
You can alsways go with a cheap hotel and use daypasses for the Oasis (thats the place where the party never stops).

Going there from March 11th - 25th. Thats basically the peak weeks.

Yeah that's not true. You save on booking packages. A lot of third party travel sites like orbitz or expedia have $ off coupons on packages too.

For an 8 day trip, the air+hotel (my own room at Omni or Hyatt) packages I booked usually cost $1000-1100 from NYC/Chicago and with a $200 off 7+ day package coupon, my trips usually end up being $900-1000. I don't think it's possible to get as good a deal booking separately. Airfare is $300-400 from Chicago/NYC, there is not much flexibility there. The hotel rarely go under $100/night booking by itself.
