Tropical Storm Paula just came out of nowhere and is looking likely to be a Category 1 Hurricane affecting the Cancun and Riviera Maya area during late Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th. If you want to see what the Cancun expats are saying as the situation unfolds then please check out the thread below: http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/living-cancun-riviera-maya/17323-tropical-storm-paula.html Here's the auto updating tracking map:
Here's hoping it stays far away from you guys. The NHC website shows it tracking back east after making a close approach. hope you don't get a double dip out of it.
I hope it turns out to be minor. Maybe we need to bring the drinking game thread up from last November's hurricane thread! Dos had some interesting ideas.:daveandmo:
This is not a laughing matter.... Paula hopefully won't turn "wilma-like". Those who are travelling soon, please watch the latest warnings. God speed to those who are in cancun..... and please, mother nature, be kind.
Serious indeed, but drinking games are fun... Get rid of the storm then have the drinking games, or drinking games for those down there if they have a few days of bad but not horrible weather. :ernaehrung015::daveandmo:
I certainly didn't mean to upset anyone in my previous post. Tropical storms/hurricanes are serious business. I've lived in South Florida for the last 30 years and know all too well what might and does happen.
Great ! we are scheduled to arrive Weds afternoon. I suspect our flight will get canceled. These days (with so few flights) getting rebooked can take awhile. Anyone know if temptations makes good on the missed days if we can even get there at all?
