It's TTR that allocate the rooms rather than Alpharooms. I suppose TTR will sometimes allocate a 'worse' room to someone who has paid a low price over someone that has paid a high one. I'd guess though, that if better rooms are available then they'd be allocated regardless of price paid. I saw that, thanks for booking through my link. Please do let us know how things worked out on your return since you'll be one of the first people from here to book with Alpha again. I tested out some random dates yesterday. I chose 7 days for 2 people in early Jan - which is about the most expensive time of year. Alpharooms were $1342, the hotels own website for the same nights was $2,400. The reason the prices are so low is that it's a UK company. Room rates intended for the UK are a fair bit cheaper than Northern American ones. This has caused some problems in the past as TTR did not like Alpha selling the hotel at the UK rate to non UK citizens - and for a time they had a fall out TTR severed ties with Alpharooms and Alpha removed TTR from their site. It seems that, since TTR is back on sale once more, that those differences have now been resolved.
Will do Steve! Think we are getting engough people for Nov 9 - 16 yet for a cruise??? Hint Hint If not.... we should try a get together at a bar ??
I really need to get the November roll call picture update done, sorry I've been slacking it's a bit of a shock to the system having a 5 week old as well as a 5 year old to deal with - school runs, extra shopping trips, swim class. I'll try and get to it tomorrow and then have a look see how many we have around for those dates. If not then yeah we could probably meet up for a beer or ten. Thanks Frank and Jamie! Note to all: Just in the interest of full disclosure, all bookings through my link I make 4% of the sale price. You pay the same price whether you use my link or not (the 4% is taken from Alpharooms, profit not added to your price). So, if it saves you money and makes me a little bit too it's win win for all in my book
