Drinking mugs cups/vessels.

I noticed on our last visit to Mexico (riviera maya) that you lovely people from the US seem to take your own drinking vessels for use at the pool bars.
I was wondering if these are available at TTR shops or whether we should try and buy our own in the uk. I have noticed some in our local supermarket but they dont seem to be very large. Any thoughts guys?

There are some in the TTR gift shop, as I saw some people using them. But we got ours off Ebay a few weeks before we went.

 

We've always taken our own mugs, but I think this year we may just buy them out of the gift shop. Leaves more room in the suitcases for other stuff.

 

Just a little note on the mugs. Last year we bought the cups from the gift shop and they work good, but still the ice would melt. This year we took our own mugs from home and they seem to hold the ice better. Before we were to leave to go to TTR I went to Wal-Mart and bought the last four cups on the shelf and gave $2.99 ea and the ones in the gift shop were like $6.00 or $7.00 dollars I think.The only advice I can give you weather you buy them there or bring them from home is leave the straw out of them. We stayed hammered for three days till I was setting in the chairs at sexy pool and said its those dam straws. That day we drank all day without the straws and was able to hang threw the night.Hope this helps.

 

Look for BUBBA Mugs over there! They come in all sizes and work real well!

i hear what you are saying about the straws, some people in the uk put straws in to bud bottles to drink them and woohoo they are wrecked much quicker!
And yeah it would be better if the ice didn't melt as quick.
That has given me food for thought. Will start my search, this is obviously the most important decision of the holiday !!!! ha ha ha :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

You read my mind was just about to ask which size but the 20oz looks just right. Found some on the UK ebay so i will settle for two of those. Thanks for all your help
