    Bringing the pug

You will want to take a look at the Pet Policy for the airline which you are flying. For example, if your pug is too large to go as carry on AA has a policy stating "Snub-nosed dogs and cats will not be accepted when the current or forecasted temperature is above 75 degrees Fahrenheit (23.8 degrees C) at any location on the itinerary." According to thier guidelines pugs are considered a sub nosed dog (obviously I guess).

    Good Luck!

    Tori thanks for the info!

    Thanks Canuck!

Mavs, yeah this little guy's 35lbs -- he's big. No way he'd fit under the seat.

At first I thought we'd have to drive in, but it seems like a lot less trouble to fly in, instead. The wheels are turning...

Is there anything in particular that you need info on?
Two things that stick out that I ran into the first time....
Make sure your vet puts down the heartworm/parasite and flea/tick meds on the International Health Certificate, including date given. Luckely, I had the boxes with me, and they took my word that he was just given them.
And also, do not put ANYTHING in the crate with the animals. No toys, no pieces of cloth for comfort..nothing.

If all your ducks are in a row, once you go through Customs, you can get out of
SAGARPA in 10-15 min. If not, and you have to wait for a Vet to come in for an exam, it could be 2 hrs or more.
