hey I and some friends flying down to Cancun from Norway i march, and i hope to get some information about Cancun. We plan to stay at the hotel zone, and i wonder if its far from clubs and where things happen? We are down there for two week and wonder how much money to bring? What is the price of beer, drinks, tequila and food? We go down there to drink, but we will see other things as well. And the last thing I wonder is what we have to experience when we are there? Thomas
hey tommy, All the big clubs are in the hotel zone. if you were to look at a map it is right at the elbow at the top of the "7". the 7 is another name for the hotel zone because it is in that shape. all the busses on the hotel zone are VERY easy to use, and cheap too! they either go up the hotel zone, or down it, cant go wrong. I was there for a week and i brought down like 600 USD i think. but it really depends on what you want to spend money on. If you are at an all inclusive you can get wasted for free all day and get all the food you need, clubs usualy will sell you cover for like 10-15 USD but if you want open bar you are usually looking at 35-45 USD. i would advise against taxis because the busses are so cheap and convinent y pay extra? they come like every 5 min or so. One night i was at this bar by the clubs. dont remember which one because i was allready completly hammered. and they were serving 1 dollar tequila shots and 1 dollar beers. (coronas i think). Also if you want to do any excursions or go shopping you will have to factor that in as well. flee markets are always a good place for shirts, shot glasses, etc... but if you want any real stores with real brands then go to la isla. Its on the hotel zone around KM 13 i think? Some excursions are really dope and you can find some good deals too. I went on the jungle tour where you drive these little boats out to this reef and go snorkling, it was pretty dope and didnt waste your whole day like some excursions do. some others that looked cool were Xel-ha and Xcaret Explor, Chichen Itza and a day trip over to Isla Mujeres. Also another one that is highly recommended through out this board is the Booze Cruise. i never got around to doing that but apperently is is awesome, ill prob try it out this year. cancun has alot to offer, id recommend the flee markets, some excursions, and goin to clubs EVERY night if you can handle it. it will be tempting but try your best to not sleep the day away while you are super hungover. Day passes to the oasis cancun (now the be live cancun) are a good idea if you are not staying there but wanna experience the party atmosphere it has in the day. anyways hope that answered your questions and get pumped for cancun 2011!! wooooo:daveandmo:
Yeah, Welcom to the CancunCare Family as Shane said. Pocketmoney really depends on what you plan to do: So you´re staying 14 days like me. lets do the math: Hitting the club 10 times with Openbar: ~450 US$ Daypass to the Oasis-Complex (6 times): ~ 250 US$ Doing 2-3 tours: : max 200 US That is around 900 US$ per person. For that amount of money you got pretty much wasted two weeks long, and did some excursions. On top of that will be meals at restaurants ( HZ around 20-30US $ per meal), extra booze, jetskis(around 40 US$/20min) stretch-limos, souveniers, hookers, bottle service at the clubs, sightsseing flights and what ever you imagine.. this list depens on personal favourites <lol>. Beside of that. Try to get a deal at the Grand Oasis... (Grand Be Live). Its a star more, a more laid back at the Oasis Complex, more comfortable and you can choose to go wild a the pool/beach when ever you want. And try to attend the CancunCare partys / Boozecruises. They are the time of your life. Feel free to ask, you´re welcome here at the Forum of the most craziest, nicest, insane and friendliest Spring Breakers ;-)
Thanks guys I got the answers to what i was wondering I am very excited to go down there. We have not set dates yet, but we wonder to go down the 6th. From what I`ve read it since it is most people down there the second and third week of march. I was wondering if I could get your opinions about something. I'm thinking of taking tattoo when I'm in Cancun. Have someone of you got a tatto in cancun? Just wondering how safe it is. From what I`ve read it seems that Monster tatto is the best place. Have any of you any experience from there? Thanks for the replies Thomas
my wife and i took $200 of spending money for each day we would be there...this was more than enough money to cover food, souvenirs, tips, drinks, and activities.....if you are staying at an all inclusive then make sure you take advantage of their food and alcohol as far as what you HAVE to see...depends on what you like...we had an absolute blast at xcaret, as well as senor frogs...the party hopper tour was awesome as well, but if you go on one make sure you get the tour that ends at coco bongo and ask for william as your "guide"... we also did the new park that just opened up that has cenotes, zip lines, amphibious vehicles and some other things....it was fun for the first few hours but honestly got old we also went on the jungle boat and snorkel tour.....that was fun as well the hotel zone is just a short bus ride from the night life...take advantage of the bus system as opposed to taxis, they are much cheaper and sometimes you even end up with a guy singing and playing a guitar for the ride (make sure you throw him a couple of bucks)...
some one in my group got a tatty down there, not sure where to be honest but it was safe and turned out fine.
about the tattoo... i got one, but i got it downtown and because i was a local lol the artists there are awesome and the place is really clean... planning to go back soon, if you want the info just let me know. also, i got my lip ring at the little flea market by slices and everything was okay, i still have it and love it hahaha
I got a little too drunk at senor frog's bar and ended up getting a tongue ring there. I'm hepatitis free but I wouldn't recommend getting pierced at a club...
