    Just be careful with SKY.

Our friends had to sign up for 12 or 18 months, and during the first 8 months they have raised the price 3 times...

They took the contract to PROFECO, but apparently what they are doing is completely legal.

Update: We've had Sky for over a week now and we LOVE IT. Only problem is we fight over the remote because there are so many good channels to watch!

I missed you, MTV! and I'm loving FoxLife... just watched House Hunters International the other day. Best expat show ever?

    Cost: $269 pesos a month.

Would love to know what other USA channels and what if any USA news channels you may be getting for $269 MX with SKY.

Also would like to know how many TV sets can be hooked up at once with the ability to have different channels on the different sets. TIA.

    Gringation,
Just FYI, we had Sky a few years ago and wanted to add another outlet for an additional TV. The only way they would accommodate a CUSTOMER was to force a contract renewal for 18 months from the date they installed the new outlet and box.

We happily switched to Cablemas for one of the more costly packages with all the Premium channels, and the internet.

They also have a basic cable pkg, with local phone and high speed (on the low end of high) internet for under $1,000 and you can add internet speed and more cable channels.

Uh-oh! We will be adding another tv within a few months, so I'll keep an eye out for that!

Would be nice to switch to Cablemas, but they don't have service in my neighborhood :(
