Where can you fly from or to on a direct flight from SJD other than Dallas or LA? Or do I even have the right airport?
I've been looking too...I found direct flights from Houston and also Mexico City (which sucks as the layover is 8 hours and more for all the dates i looked up)..but we would be flying from Miami...so would have to connect at one of these...
clearly the best option would be to fly via southwest airlines to love field (very cheap from anywhere) take a taxi ride over to dfw (about 25 minute drive and 40.00 cab fee) and get on mexicana or american as those two are having price wars to cabo presnt rates for 8 nights round trip to Temptation cabo all included is barely over 1,000 pp really amazing
I have a meeting in San Diego next year and considering adding a few days in Cabo either on the front or back of the trip. The only non-stop option between San Diego and Cabo appears to be Alaska/Horizon.
Gawd I feel so lucky to be flying out from Toronto! We have direct flights out every Sunday.... Looking into heading there the end of October...
Also, USAir goes to Cabo from Phoenix. For us the best way to go would be to take SW to Phoenix and then go over to USAir to Cabo. The US Air flights are relatively inexpensive at $800 roundtrip from Buffalo. My guess is that it would be substantially more expensive using SW and US.
This sounds like an expensive mess although it beats the hell out of having flight changes for every leg of the trip. SW flies nonstop from St Louis to San Diego for a meeting Alaska/Horizon flied nonstop from San Diego to Cabo American from Cabo to St Louis should not be too bad even with the stop in Dallas
I want to go so bad too, but looks like a full day of flying and expensive too *sigh*. The cheapest I could find was using my Spirit *snort* miles to get to LA and then direct flt to Cabo from there, about $375 rt each including all the taxes...
Long flights? Agreed. That is the reason why we rarely do the Cancun side (aside from the sand fleas, rain, rain and more rain). $375 is reasonable and about right for an across-the-country flight. Alaska Airlines is the best!...reasonable, especially with the air miles card which we use and pay off religiously. We don't buy anything without using the air miles card. Our two cents...
