Too bad - we missed you guys..thanks for your report.. Jello shots would have been awesome. That is funny about the church, this is the church we stopped at. We gave the begging lady outside with the can a bunch of pesos.... It was quite PACKED for the Sunday 9am English service (open cathedral style church)
Hey Guys, I think the ferry runs from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.....but check the Ultramar Ferry website to be sure. It has 2 ports to leave from. We left out of the Puerto Juarez. Just tell the taxi driver exactly that...Puerto Juarez, Ultramar Ferry and he will take you right to the dock. There is an amazing beach at the other side of the island.....from what we saw. It is called Garrafon. They have a website also.....there is a ton of stuff to do there, the ziplines looked awesome, but we got there so late in the afternoon, we did not do it. We found a little side street by the Casa Maria hotel (I think that is what it was called). It is in North Beach (the golf cart place will give you a map and you will be able to see where I am talking about as it says North Beach and the hotels name). There is a little bar, right on the beach...that literally looks like those Corona commercials. It was playing Jimmy Buffet......I thought I would never get Trent to leave. That was his idea of paradise and it was amazing.
