well all suitcase is packed and really excited about flying tomorrow morning, had booked this holiday for me and my friend as he had split up with his missus few months back, had been told by everyone he would let me down but he assured me he wouldn't, couple weeks ago he got back with his girl and assures me he would be still coming as she was flying off on holiday this morning and we was supposed going gym and for breakfast. so this morning has arrived, and my friends is MIA, he lives next door to me and didn't stay at his place last night, called his parents and he didn't stay there, also checked the flight of the supposed holiday his girl was going on and there no flight to the place today from any close airports.:huh: so looks like it be lil ol me flying to TTR alone so hoping everyone as friendly as made out on here as don't wanna be playing gooseberry (loner) for next ten days.:sofa: am used to traveling alone anyway as have lived and traveled all over Greece and Spain last ten years it just a bummer when you get let down. anyway chin up, just off for a breakfast and a beer to get warmed up and shall see everyone tomorrow.:beer4: please be kind and say hello :daveandmo:
you will definately not have any problems going alone, just dont be shy, talk to everyone and by the end of this trip you will have new friends that you will want to meet every year down there.... Have a blast
How could this possibly be a "major letdown"? Did you think it would be more fun to have your friend mooning over his girlfriend or to meet new friends that want to have a good time? Seriously, I'd rather go alone(and I have many times to TTR) than to go with a friend who is lost in love!
If you see a big crowd and they are being lively, just walk up and say hi. I haven't met any big crowds that weren't friendly. If you see a couple sitting by themselves and either of them look upset run away that could be a buzz kill, lol
to be honest i would rather him not come as he turned so miserable over last two weeks, and unluckily he has turned up in the last half hour telling all his bull s**t tales,look like it might be a trip out on a pedalo and no arm bands for him if he doesn't cheer up when we get there im there for a party and celebration so all go for me :umbrella1:
You will still have a blast. Everyone is so welcoming and fun and you'll make friends in no time. sorry to hear about your friend flaking out on you like that, but it will be his loss. You will tell him of all the fun you had and great new friends that you made. It's your holiday, enjoy it. I'm jealous....I can't wait, we'll be there in two months.
