This is my OOL...... As you can see there is no P in it it...let's keep it that way.....go in the ocean...cooler to have little critters trying to nibble on you anyways....loll
It's more than pee. The sun block we all put on about every hour, washes off in the pool killing the Ph levels, much like it messes up the oceans. Alot of the cloudiness comes from your sun block. If you had alot of people in your pool at home this can happen too. The rashes you guys are talking about are chlorine burns, the resort is trying to counter the cloudiness and putting extra chlorine in to it. Prolonged exposure cause skin irritation or rashes the funny part is the best way to prevent this is to apply extra sun block to protect your skin from the chlorine. It's a catch 22
It probably is sunscreen making the pool cloudy. You can usually tell what's sunscreen though. It someone is using an oil based product, you'll see the oil rings floating in the water. The lotion stuff is probably what makes the water cloudy. However, a comment about urine. Yes, urine is sterile in your body, but once it reaches the urethra, its not. It comes in contact with epithelial cells and possibly bacteria, etc that a person may have. Urine also can transmit CMV (A virus, very bad for pregnant women) and hepatitis b. Not to mention if the person has a yeast infection or kidney infection, that bacteria would be passed along as the urine exits the body. But with that said, as long as everyone isn't peeing in the pool, then there won't be a problem. Chlorine should take care of any small incidents. Probably best to go in the pool in the early morning and then get out if it gets too disgusting later in the day. But if there's pee, puke, and other "fluids" in the water, then that's just nasty.
If we survive the Nude Pool and Nude Hot Tub in Hedo every year then everyone should be fine...lots of DNA in those pools...lol
Ok good, cuz that would have been awkward, a canadian getting an american pregnant in a mexican pool.... Then again, it is all inclusive so where does the hotel draw the line on what they include HAHA
OMG you guys are histerical! Just my $.02, I always get out to use the potty and the banos always seem to be busy. I'm sure there are some uber drunk people who use the pool, but then again, you'll find the same problem if you take your kids to the local YMCA. I have spent almost all day every day in/at the sexy pool on every trip and have yet to get prego with a baby that doesn't resemble my husband and haven't gotten any nasty infections either.:liebe039: In the past it seems TRC hasn't used enough chlorine so if they've upped the amount or are retreated with small doses through out the day, I will gladly deal with any small skin irritations that result. The end of August cannot come soon enough!!!
