Hour's long dude....pushy as heck...and the deal suck's! Made the mistake last year. If ya didn't get in along time ago then you like us missed the good deal.
I just say no! My vacation time is too important to me. They don't like to hear no but I don't think it has any effect on how the staff treats you.
Our first trip, we didn't know a dam thing, we only booked for a week. Our first night was a blast lots to drink etc. next morning around 8 am hungover we get this call for our meeting to show us around the resort. We go and they are feeding us Ceasars at 8:30am. couple drinks and it doesn't take much your half plowed again.. anyways long story short we spent most of the day with them then trying to get ahold of our bank... thank goodness this was over xmas. and it didn't happen. jeff asked if we could take a copy of the contract back to Canada for our lawyer to go over and they wouldn't do it... sign now they said one time deal.. As much as we love the place I'm glad we didn't get time shares..
thanks everyone for your feedback, but I am trying to see what people have received free for doing the presentation, I am not interested in buying the timeshare and will say no at all costs, but might sit through it for some cash, just trying to see what they will throw at you just to show up.....
We wouldnt waste our precious time but the three different groups that did sit through it got NOTHING.
We have been something like 10 times...lost count. Anyway, we have yet to sit thru the speech. I see those poor people being paraded around the pool while I'm sunning myself cocktail in hand...Aint gonna do it. Nope. We have talked to enough people to know that buying is not ideal right now. If you do decide to have the talk then hold out as long as possible because they better the gifts the longer you wait.
We had to sit through it because it was part of our "package" when we booked (got a killer deal if we agreed to do the timeshare presentation up front). We told them no all through the presentation. We also knew it included breakfast with the person who did the presentation....so we ate before we went and that cut some time off of the presentation. Took up about 2 hours of our time...they have "premium" drinks in the meeting room.....and the lady who did the presentation was very nice...but at the end...the manager was VERY pushy. He was even rude when we kept saying NO....but whatever....we saved at least $1000 and got some really COLD beer and premium drinks and got on with our vacation. To us, it was worth it.....NEVER EVER say yes to their first, second or third option....because "even though they are suppose to offer it....there is a fourth option...for about $5000...because he likes you" (if you are considering buying into it, that is). We also met some people who only got $30 credit for the hotel....our friends did the presentation and got $75...so hold out for the best deal too.
