We really needed to go on vacation (who doesn't?) and didn't want to spend a fortune. I'd been to Cancun a few times and really enjoyed it. Found Temptations after a search on Expedia and booked it because it was adults only and seemed like a fun place! Found Cancuncare.com after we had booked it and knew we would have a great time! I'm a little shy (Sarah) so I only went topless once in the quiet pool for about ten minutes! Planning to be more carefree in September!
My old seemingly straight-laced boss told me about TR (then BBG) in 2007. Booked for June 2007, then did the research. Found a bunch of reviews saying "swinger" "sex everywhere" "raunchy" and was like "what did you get me into?" Went, drank, partied, ran around topless, had a blast, September will be trip #6 (or is it 7? Gettin' a little blurry) CANNOT WAIT!!!
We found BBG by accident. We wanted to take a spur of the moment vacation back in 2005, and found BBG on a travel website, it was affordable and adult only, we were only there 4 nights on our first trip but booked our second trip the very next week after returning home. Now 10 trips later, we still love the place. We met some of our closest friends there as well. It is a special place for us.
It IS a special place, that's where I met some of my closest friends also 4 and 5 years ago, friends I still text and email with several times a week and see twice a year on trips (none of them live in FL). So when I brought my BF there a few weeks ago and he LOVED it, and the energy, the pool games, CocoBongo, Chinos, the few friends he still hasnt met of mine, it just became that much more special....And we brought a couple from home with us this time too, they only stayed 3 nights, but they loved it too, and are like "When can we go back"? I love to see new people appreciate the uniqueness of TTR.
We searched out a Clothing optional resort that was all-inclusive. WE found Desire Resort and Spa and booked our Honeymoon there. By default of buying the membership we are also members of TTR. We have not been to TTR but do plan to visit soon. JINX, Vancouver Washington or Canada?
We originally looked at Blue Bay Getaway back in 2001 when we went to Riviera Maya instead - we wanted quiet, no to few kids, topless beach, etc. Stayed at the Riu Palace, and while beautiful and elegant and had a topless beach (but not pool), there were too many kids and we met no one there. In between, we went to the Bahamas twice (no topless beaches/pools), and the Dominican Republic (topless beach and pool) - had a blast in the DR. IN 2007, our kids were away at camp, we decided we wanted to have an island vacation and looked at returning to the DR, but itw as too costly and too remote in case we had to get home quickly. Then we remembered the Blue Bay Getaway in Cancun, took another look online at it, and found this site, and the rest is history. Now I just have to get back there - haven't been since summer of '07 and it's driving us crazy. No time, not enough money.
