Your offer to use your acreage is very generous. Lot's of pluses there. Privacy, no hassles with reservations, close to water, etc.

The tricky part for us would be hauling both a trailer and the pontoon boat. We have the two vehicles to do it, but Kim won't drive either of them with something behind them...lol.

It's something we could figure out though.

We could aways tent it ... or bring the walls for the boat and sleep in it
WHAT!!!!...did I actually say that?... lol oh, scratch that... that would be too much like camping.. lol

Well thank you.. and I understand the hauling part, we have a camper also and I wouldn't haul it either. About Sandy Beach like alot of other lakes it is drying up so no swimming, but people do take their boats etc out on it. Its approx. 0.3km from the house, we can see part of the lake from our deck, a guy at work who has a cabin out here said that people do swim in the middle of the lake hense boats.

Our place is just a suggestion, the place you suggested it pretty much in the middle for all of us. If we settle on a date then maybe go from there?:icon_biggrin:

Also, we have an extra 2 bedrooms and fold out couch downstairs, plus our camper sleeps 5, use to be 6 but we pulled out a bunk, and I think we have a tent kicking around here.

Ok.. this is just what I think.. ;)

I think that this might be getting too big and isnt going to happen.
how about we pick a middle ground between Calgary and Edmonton maybe Red Deer?
that has a hotel and a good bar and we meet everyone there..
not just a Calgary Edmonton thing.. but who ever wants to come.. I think it would be much easier..

am I out in left field here?...

Well I agree...As much as I would love to head to a sandy beach I don't think it will fly for most ...everyone is sooo darn busy usually. I think a good party in Red Deer is a great idea? When I first came up with the idea it was more just to try to get a bunch of people from the forum in western Canada together for a few drinks and some good times....maybe some will hit it off and make other plans? maybe not? My two cents... a afternoon/evening in Red Deer would be cool by me ...maybe meet at a Hotel somewhere close to a good Bar or something?
