Remembering from Argentina, they have chorizo there but it is a very different chorizo from ours. I doubt it is linguisa, but I suppose that is possible. Um, I'm thinking maybe the municipality of Solidaridad should be represented. Anyone up for the 7th?
Standings Qroo 23 20 .535 9.0 As you can see from the stats, the Tigres are struggling a little, this year, but the season is young. Last year they almost went all the way.... In any case, it's great way to spend a few hours in the open air. We'll be seeing them play Campeche, tonight, at 7PM. As usual, I've got seats just back of the Tigres' dugout, at third base. The stadium looks gorgeous right now, with the field in perfect condition. The tickets are very reasonably priced, making it easy on the pocketbook to take a family. They range from 20-100 pesos, depending on where you sit; with a 50% discount for INAPAM card holders. What are tickets costing these days in the states? Anybody know?
Hey Alma Libre (yes, I know your other name too) I know this is too late and I hope you found them but I think they are simply called Argentinian Chorizos. I will be having one tonight but without the chiles. Not quite ready to resume the hot stuff yet. Cheers,
Tigres win! On an extremely pleasant May evening, the Tigres won, over Campeche, 6-2. Considering how hot the days are, it's amazing how pleasantly cool it is by game time, 7 PM, most nights. Come try it, if you haven't, yet. This time of year ticket sales are slow: if you go to the ticket sales booth and find "no one at home", go on in the stadium area and ask around. There will be someone who'll help you get to the right person, if you can make it clear what you want.
Sounds like a fun time at the ballpark V. Wish they were playing when we vacation. After 30 years in a dome here in MN, we finally have an outdoor stadium. Here are the ticket prices for a Minnesota Twins game. Section Name Season Ticket Pricing Champion's Club $175 Dugout Box $69.00 Home Plate Box $50.00 Diamond Box $38.00 Field Box $29.00 Left Field Bleachers $18.00 The Pavillion $22.00 Overlook $22.00 Right Field Bleachers $17.00 Delta Sky360 Legends Club $55/$48 Skyline Deck $27.00 Home Plate Terrace $29.00 Field Terrace $20.00 Home Plate View $20.00 Skyline View $12.00 Field View $10.00 Our Family Section $22.00 U.S.Bank HomeRun Porch Terrace $22.00 U.S. Home Run Porch View $20.00 Batter's Eye $22.00 Grandstand $20.00 More seating options than carters got little liver pills. You can add about 3 to 10 dollars for the single game prices. I dont know anyone who can pay the 175 dollar ticket prices and there are 82 home games. only about 14,000 USD for those season seats.
Ticket prices Yah, Gonzo, looks like you could go through some dough, taking the family. I've heard the clubs have been rocked by this recession. How are the Twin's doing? Cutting any of those ridiculously high salaries premier players are paid? When do you suppose those guys are going to give something back to the fans? One of the reasons for high ticket prices goes right to those multimillion USD deals they all get. Did I read, right, recently, that the average pro player is getting a million a year? I understand, what they can do as well as they do is special, and their skill adds to the fans enjoyment, but really....
They call them Choripan. It is chorizo de Argentina on a bolillo. He also has a small restaurant on la luna between Pizza Hut and Ave. Nichupte. He also does empanadas.
Thanks Trina. I was going to post the Choripan part as the sign appears on the fence behind the grill and table. We had a great time at the game, I had a Choripan and one of those giant Burritos de Arrachera con queso. Sorry you and Bundy could not join us. Hope you and the girls are having fun where you are on your mini vacation. Is the place on La Luna the one we went to one night? I don't remember the name or what we had but it was on the corner in that general area.
Hey V, I missed this one yesterday. The Twins are going to sell out all their games this year I am pretty sure. We just got a new stadium and we now are playing outdoors again after 30 years in the dome. So everyone is pretty excited about going to see them outside. I am sure its at least 1 million a season. Even NHL players are averaging over that price too. Never thought that would happen. I still dont know why a national FAN strike hasnt been orginized and implemented to show both the owners and players that WE dont want to pay these high prices for a game. I would love to go and see a game at the new park, but that might cost me a day in Cancun next year, cant have that happen. I know of several Twins players who do donate their time and money to things important to them in our area (maybe a write-off). Not that I am condoning the salaries, but its always the same stuff, players saying the owners are making too much and the owners saying they are making nothing. I think they are ALL rolling in it. Cant remember who said it but it was a player that was going to be making 10-20 million a YEAR and he said that he had to look out for his families well being.........Ya right.
