While I personally haven't used P90X a couple of our guy friends have. They both have great things to say about it. Appearance wise they slimmed down and toned up.
I have used it and i lost 13 pounds. Then again i also rode my bike to work, lunch, and on my way home. So tons of cardio and with P90X then it will do you wonders.
FloridaFun, You've got plenty to work with girl! P90X, a good diet, and some extra cardio on lifting days will get you were you want to be very quickly. If you want it bad enough, don't put it off!
P90x will kick your butt! Unfortunately, I had back surgery over the winter and when I tried it, I really aggravated it, so I had to stop :icon_cry: (and just go back to normal gym stuff), but my better half is going to start her second round of it in a week or two!
I didn't realize just how out of shape I am until I ATTEMPTED to start P90X. I have 30 days before I show up at TTR, and I'm goin gto try it one more time. Plyometrics will kick your butt... but to be precice, it's going to KILL your quads... during the warm up... Kenpo reminded me of just how in shape I was when I was really deep into martial arts. I got used to the chest routine quicker than any other, only 2 times and I could do it without being too sore the next day. With a decent diet, I should be able to get rid of 20-30lbs by the time I get to TTR.
You guys can both get your own goals met out of P90X. There are 3 different programs. A lean one for you, A bulk up one for him and a doubled up bulk up program for those crazy people that like to work out twice a day *L*
OK good, that's what I wanted to know...we didnt buy it yet, his laptop blew up with a virus so we were dealing with that all weekend....Question though, we want to do it together at the same time a few times a week, would we be able to do the different programs that way? He was talking about me having different pound weights than him and more reps, etc...I want to get more cardio in too, does P90X even have cardio or do i have to do it on my own?
Every other day is Cardio. There are (3) different programs within P90X. But you can also use less reps and lighter weights to achieve lean instead of muscle mass. You can easily tailor this workout to fit your needs.
hello happu utah here.yes we both used it for a while. It was my sons and he has moved out. But it does work. take it easier at first becuse it will kick your butt. the yoga is very amusing, if you arent really limber, it can be harder.
you should be able to get lean results from the bulk up program by doing more reps with lot less weight when you have weights.
