We joined CC in 2004, when we went in 2005 we met up with Jamie & Chris and Jen, Lisa, Marj, Karen & Alison and a few other regulars off here .... Me, Jen and Lisa e-mail each other every day in work and we still meet up a few times a year at each others houses and go on mini breaks together. Last Sept we met some brilliant people who we just can't wait to meet again... along with new friends. When the Swine flu stopped us going last May and this year that ruddy volcano almost done it again...it's amazing what private messages you get off people, saying they really hope we make it etc... so basically what my rambling is trying to say is yes I'd say 99% of people on here are genuine and lovely people. Like a few others have said we've made really close friends off this site. Lynfa x

Ah thanks both. I'm going to get the suitcases out tonight... still not packing though ... we leave at around 4pm on Sunday to go to Birmingham to stay overnight before flying on Monday... .I'll probably start packing at about 3.55pm on Sunday.... just don't want to tempt fate lol x Lynfa x Hope to see you guys sometime xxx
Last year we didn't learn of this site until right before we left and occupancy was only 50% so we didn't meet anyone going when we were from this site. This year we have met people who will be going the same time as us and we truly believe that genuine people and a BLAST, so excited to meet in person. The reason I posted the question is because there are some posts lately that are over the top, and my guess is to get a rise out of people. To some that's entertainment to them, I just don't get it! My thinking was maybe people just post on the boards to 'cause trouble' but may not have any intention of going to TTR, just lonely people playing on the computer, you know what I mean?!?! MJ
I first signed on CC back in May 2005, but under another screen name w/ my ex husband...I would say that in the 4 trips we made to TTR between 2005 and 2008, 99% of the people we met from CC in person were what we hoped and expected: fun, kind and friendly...there have been a few ppl that were shyer, wilder, nicer, less friendly than we expected..but all in all have not been disapointed... Looking forward to my June trip with my new guy and introducing TTR to him, he's going to LOVE it!
Gotcha, I think I know exactly what your saying. And on a side note: We have seen a few people at TTR that appear to us over the top.. yes few and far between, but they are there and even they make me smile or laugh. However for the most part from what I've witnessed most people are just like us, we are fun loving people, however we can come across as withdrawn, shy, even snotty!!! LOL etc. So for our sake it would be good to get to know some people before we go again, as we all know looks can be deceiving. And from what I gather on this site so far, alot of amazing people go to TTR. Can't wait to go again.:aktion030:
i think most people would say of us that i am far more reserved in person and T is far more outgoing in person. she rarely posts on here and i post almost every day but when we are there............ holy cow T is non stop that is just T - she is awesome in person but just does not care to chat on here - but she does read every single thread and every single post lol rob
the thing i love about james and lee.......... they are at the sexy pool early in the morning - getting a great start but i have not figured out yet if that is because they stayed up all night or just like to get up early rob
i think t and i were expecting les and lynfa to be more aggressive as most of the "swingers" we have met there tend to be exceptionally freaky about it ............i mean we have other friends who are swingers and all - but for some strange reason our experience with swingers at Temptation/bbg had not been that good until we met les and lynfa les and lynfa were just good cool people and not out on an agenda per say..........seems like the swingers we had met in the past there were more caught up in the "we are going to bang something agenda" than in the "just meeting cool people and having fun camp" we would hear the..... "hey we want to do this and we want to do that, are yall interested right now"? im like - immediately turned off - you had me at "hey we want" rob
