I'm going down to Cancun on Saturday for a week, and i've been getting a kick out of the weather forecasts. There have been five different forecasts in the last two days. Some say showers possible, some say clear and sunny, and some say partly cloudy. What can I expect for weather down there realistically? Basically a chance of a short shower every day, but all together sunny and warm?
ok, my forecast is sunny with scattered clouds & highs around 31-33 Celsius for the next couple of days.
Laughing at the forecast for Cancun is appropriate. Just remember that they predict a CHANCE of rain, they don't predict rain. We get 300 or more sunny days a year here...so you do the math...how bad will it be? Not bad. This time of year you might see a few minutes of rain every few days, maybe. Today we had one misting of 5 minutes, and then it poured for about 2 minutes right after I came back from walking the dogs (good timing). So today counts as a rainy day in Cancun...
Relax, this is one of the best times of year to be here. Our April, last year, convinced us to stay in Cancun! and we're still here.
Glad to hear! I, too, am coming down on Saturday and was SO BUMMED to see rain predicted every day! I REALLY hope we get sun, but so long as there is tequila, I really don't care! :biggrinbandit:
It may even rain, off and on, while you're here- but this will just enhance the feeling of really being in the tropics. Today, we had one of those days, warm to hot, a little humid feel to the air, a shower or two, none lasting long- it just made the whole experience of being alive, and in Cancun, that much more rewarding....
OK!!! So who in this thread put a jinx on Cancun...or over my apt???? It has been raining so freakin hard today that I am battling water coming in all over my apt. THIS IS SOOO NOT COOL!!! I had friends arrive yesterday for vacation and so far it has been pretty damn crappy.
Don't worry, ToriB, only 39 more days to go! Just kidding, it's already starting to clear, here, where I am.... V.
must be nice, cause it is still pouring over here in SM504....La Luna is a river....my park is a pond...and my house is a wet soggy mess.
