I have heard that Amerimed (Dr. Oriol Olivera / Ginecología y Obstetricia) is Good. You might want to check out Directorio Médico (Directorio medico Cancun) for options on places to get the scans & doctors (I am 99% sure he is listed on that site).
I had one done at Lab Polanco in Cancun, and it was a nice lab. I had a bunch of other tests done there too. Everything was super professional to the point that I was pinching myself because I thought I was back in the US. Lab Polanco has several locations around the country, but not one in Playa. RG, is the Laboratorio Clinico Polanco a walk-in operation? If so, where are they located? I couldn't find an address in their website. ______________ Kathy, I wouldn't think it matters which you choose, provided they've got the equipment there, in Playa, to do it. As for the doctors, it's hit or miss, as anywhere, unless you get a solid recommendation for one in particular.

I'm going to disagree with V. The equipment is only part of the equation. Operator competence is the other. Your physician must use the results the lab provides. He/she doesn't do the tests him/herdelf. I've seen world class lab work down here and I've seen results, particularly radiological results, that looked like something out of Dr. Frankenstein's lab (as did the equipment). I've also seen careless and sloppy work, including procedures that endanger the operator, let alone the client. Ergo, get advice from people who've been there. IMHO Polanco is a solid operation, but collect 2 cents from others besides me. And if your question is motivated by personal concerns, good luck and be well.
