Has anyone flown down with Can Jet. I know its 20kg per person, but can my wife and I pack in one suitcase and combine the two and have a 40kg suitcase?
Nope. They won't let you do that. I do a lot of business flying.. If I can offer a tip. It's a good idea for each of you to pack some essentials in a carry on bag. It's rare that bags are misplaced. Particularly with a charter airline but it really sucks when it happens and it can take a day or two for them to be recovered. Careful not to pack stuff that is not allowed on the plane but you are each allowed a baggie containing gels, toothpaste, etc. in that bag. Pack hair brushes and anything else you think you'd need for a couple of days stay. Clothes, underwear, bathing suit, shorts and tops, etc. If you really want to play it safe then split the stuff you are putting in your check in bags and put half in each bag. That way if one bag is lost you both still have have stuff in the other.
im afraid, i have been sitting stuff aside as i buy it and my bag is going to be over this year i know it. Any one know the cost when it goes over? Flying with canjet as well. What are the plains like?We usually fly aitransat or skyservice.
As of March 1st it's $12.00 per every kg. that you are overweight. Here's some more info: CanJet Airlines I haven't flown CanJet before. They fly 737-800's. A good reliable aircraft. Looks like they pack the seats in pretty tight, though. I wouldn't count on a lot of leg room. CanJet Airlines
Remember too, your clothes and bag will weigh more leaving cancun , with the moisture and humidity...ive packed the same bag and the same bag has weight considerably more on return
We always take a digital fish scale w/ us to pre weight all check-ins. 1/2 # overweight in Puerto Rico cost me $25.00 US - 1 mistake cost more than the damn scale! :icon_sad:
thats a good idea, remind me to weight my bag with your scale before i go, that may save me a bunch of money lol
