I think the point is that many really don't care if their photos end up on the net........and others of us have jobs that could be jepordised... or vanila friends we don't want to see why we head out of the country to enjoy our vacations. You won't find a proliferation of cameras at Hedo 2 or at Desire. Talking with the desk at TTR they know cameras have gotten out of hand there and they are working on steps to bring it under control.
You're saying that policing camera's won't make a lick of difference. My point is that while it won't stop all people from taking pictures it will at least keep things from getting out of hand like they seem to be now. Those idiots that are bold enough to walk up and stick a camera in a woman's face will become a rare occasion like it used to be.
Sorry but I have to disagree with you strongly. I asked a guy to stop taking pictures of our group and took his camera off him last September but I had to think about it for almost 20 minutes before acting. In that time he must have taken lots of pictures and video. The hotel wanted to call the police because I took the camera from the man (i gave it back straight away). If there was an offical policy I would have stopped him straight away with the confidence that I have the hotels backing. Like it's been said, many people on here don't care about it but this is one of those issues were we have to protect the minority that do care about it. We are all supposed tobe friends at TTR so lets protect those that need protecting. To those that want to take pics of someone topless and possibly use it...............fuck off to a different resort (sorry for my foul mouth but this really does anger me) :sauer005:
agreed......and I'll add this......if I want to posed topless or less for a photo that's one thing......something that i have CHOSEN to do for the particular photographer..........voyeur photography is something altogether different.
That isn't what I'm saying!!! What I'm saying, as you have also said policing ISN'T going to stop it. What I am trying to say is that it does happen. Is it out of hand?? I've been there 4 times and I didn't find that it was out of hand.. But then again I'm may not be as concerned as some people. I guess if I was I would go to a resort where I would be completely safe, no camera's or cell phones, video cameras ... like that is even possible!!! And I agree with you that it would be totally rude if someone sticks a camera in your face, hmmm I wonder if politicians, movie stars and so on feel the same way. If Temptations says no camera, it isn't going to change anything, a creep is a creep is a creep, if someone wants to take your picture they will.
? the hotel wanted to call the police on you? Thats terrible. And you could be right if there was an offical policy the hotel, staff and other guest would back you. All I'm trying to say is that even if there was a policy it would still happen... I'm not saying that it right I'm just saying that it will... So don't kid yourself and think your safe.... as much as we all would like to think we are...
This guy obviously went over the line, however I would say he is in the minority by a mile. If he had one defence it is that he was taking video of the collection of swimsuits which is a part of the Mr. Temptation game and not of someone sunbathing or making out etc. Was he making the video show his friends how crazy some of the pool side stuff is? To give him something to watch in his room or at home? Was it to make money a la Girls Gone Wild? I wouldn't call him a gang-banger either, just immature. For better or worse out by the sexy pool is considered a camera friendly zone and we all know it. Ultimately the responsibility as to who is shown in what light at the pool side is up to the people by the pool themselves.
And I agree, as I stated earlier I think posting the link on this site is just as over the line as the guy that took the video.
If that's not what you're saying then I'm sorry. That's the impression that I got. What frustrates me is that people think that if you can't stop all cameras then why bother. I know the problem won't go away completely but at least it can be reduced. On each visit I've known people that wanted to participate in the games (poolside and nice shoes) but didn't because of all the cameras. The staff would be going around the pool trying to get people to join in but would end up having to cancel a game due to lack of participation. Everyone that was at the old BBG and BBV before that admits that things were crazier and more fun when cameras were controled by the staff. I'd just like to see those days return.
