The only thing were using anymore are the RCI points. We paid for the membership in full so were trying to get some use out of it. BUT, We are done with Premier unless our PROFECO complaint gets resolved. Im using points anyway I can just to use them up. Hawaii for 2 weeks = 190,000 points x 2 rooms for a total of 380,000 points this year alone + 60,000 points for airfare. The sooner we use up all of our points the sooner we will be done with the contract. As of today by using RCI and our points we have saved about $12,000 in Condo/Hotel fees and Airfare. SO its not all for nothing on our end. Jsut not all we were told it would be.

Hopefully this may will be my last trip to temptations as a member. When I am there my main goal will be to get rid of the yearly fee, and use my points to go other places, like Mike is. I may return to Temptations but no as a member, I have been raped in the pocket book enough! To get a garden view room, it will be much more than we paid last year for an ocean view, and didnt our contact say something about premier rooms being special! Plus now they are adding tax, just another way to rip us off. I have never hated anybody as much as I hate them. Wish Chris hadnt given up on us!

Hope all is well with you Terry, haven't seen much of you on this forum anymore. Kathy & I are going next month and paying 32% more per person/night than last year and we're going to be there the same 10 days as last year. I sent an email complaining about the price increase to Claire Wright and she stated that she could not change the rates because the hotel company controlled them. After she sent me an email stating she couldn't do anything, I told her that I have worked in the hotel/casino business for over 30 years and I know what someone in her position can & can't do. Furthermore, I informed her that I wasn't asking for a favor, but rather what I deserve per the terms of my contract. So I sent her a copy of my contract and pointed out the fact that the AI fees were supposed to be tied to the national price index in Mexico. I sent her a copy of the price index and a spreadsheet in which I did the calculations of what the revised AI fees should be this year. Of course, all of this falls on deaf ears and after 2 weeks she has yet to respond. I don't know who said she will do a better job than Bert did, but I don't see it. They've got our money and we're just S-O-L. Even though it's probably a waste of time, I'll continue to periodically complain just to give them 2% of the heartache that they've given us.

We are planning on going back in September but maybe not as a member. I will quote the Premier rate but I am going to look at other rates as well, I will not pay more money as a member than I could go for as a non member.

This is one of the biggest rip-offs I have ever gotten myself in to.

AI fees are just out of control. They are priced so far out of the market its not even funny(compared to other RCI resorts AI fees in Cancun).

People bring facts to the table and they just ignore them is nothing new. It's almost as if they don't even want you to use your membership. I have no clue how the hell they sell a membership there right now. The math just doesn't add up. Then again they get you drunk enough you can't add anyways. :aktion061:

I've asked for years for them to justify the AI fee increases. Nobody has ever giving me any factual information on how they set the fee. My understanding is its just basically pulled out of a hat and more or less just try to find the ceiling that its members are willing to pay.

Kind of sad the owners of the resort would really let Premier just crap all over there business name. Which is why I believe there just as much to blame as Bert or any of the others.

WE have a 3rd and final hearing April 5th with PROFECO. Depending on the outcome and the final proposal offer to settle our dispute we are unsure of our return trip to any of the Premier properties.
If Premier coems back with an offer that addresses all of our complaints and we are happy with the offer we will return.
If Premier simply ignores the complaints and offers us the same lame offer as before we will reject it and never return to a Premier property again. Its that simple. WE like going to Desire but honestly we can go to Hedo II and III and find the same thing were looking for. There are also other nudist/swing resorts we can give our business ot that want our business and money. If we reject the offer we will simply use as many points per year to end our contract as soon as possible.

All is not lost and wasted money. Since we purchased the contract we have saved travel expenses by using the RCI points to book Airfare, condos, etc.. and have saved $13K. The ultimate goal is to save the equivelant of what we paid for the membership, $20K.

If Premier wont do the right thing we will hit them where it hurts and thats the pocket book. It costs then any time we use points. One way or the other we will get our monies worth.

BE sure to check out the RCI website and check out the Points partner items you can buy using points and cash without effecting the number of points you can use for airfare. Visa gift cards are just one example we found.

I just went to pay my membership and the permier office said they could not access my contract info because it had been turned over to a collection agency in the US. I called the collection agency at 1 800-849-1236 and they did not have my info. Looks like I am going as a regular guest after all.

Definitely let us know if they give you the premier wristband when you check in. Will you be able to check in at the premier office? Premier just quoted me $1,175 (usd) for only 5 nights and I checked the itravel2000.com website and for 7 nights the price was only $1,200 (usd). A huge difference. I'm not happy about their new pricing structure either.

Also, can anyone tell me what the point of being a member is? As a member do we still get the premium alcohol? Do we still get the better rooms? Basically, I've been using my membership for the points. I haven't been back to TTR since May '08 and I really do miss it, so I hope to see you all on July 3rd
