We were supposed to be at Temptation for the last 2 nights but they overbooked the hotel. Don´t know how that is possible. 1 room 1 resevation. seems simple enough. They are making the best of a bad situation. We have got to spend time at both of their sister hotels and we will get to Temptation tomorrow. Hope everyone has better luck.
You seem to be taking it well. We would be furious. The only other resort we would accept as a substitute is Desire. Good luck and enjoy yourselves.
Hope they upgrade you or give you some free spa time! Great that you're keeping a good attitude! I was just wondering how full the resort was this year. I was there in June and it was only 20%-30%. I'm worried I won't enjoy it as much if it's packed full. I enjoyed always having a great spot at the pool and no reservations for diner. My plan is to attend in April. Hope it's less full!
April will be good, it must be spring break for New Yorkers, seems a lot of us are going there in April....
Yeah it is. I'm a student and I go through the summer. Only time I get more than a week off school until July and I didn't want to wait that long to come!
I can tell you from experience. We arrived on the 19th. They were overbooked. Desire we were told was full. They sent us to Blue Bay Club for one night. They MORE than made up for it. If you act like an asshole, they WILL NOT be so gracious as we saw first hand to some of the others that were angry about the resort being overbooked. We were very firm and understanding but respectful and the management made sure our stay was memorable...
yep as Bill said we were bumped also and thats how we met Bill and Mindi and they really took care of us too. Seems to be a theme right now as we met A LOT of people who were bumped the first night.
We arrived at noon and I think that really helped us in getting a room. Ran into 5-8 couples that were bumped. I think they were 100%+ booked for about a week straight.
Anybody have any idea who gets bumped? Is it whoever gets there last? Are specific travel providers favored/bumped? Does it matter if you book directly with the hotel or not?
