Hey some quick questions for the experienced spring breakers out there. Some of my buddies and I are going down in exactly 154 hours :lotsofmichaelfs: ... I am not excited in the least We have been reading as many tips as we can to make this the best possible trip possible, but still have a few questions: 1) I have been creeping around this forum for a couple weeks and if I understand it you correctly, you guys recommend playing it by ear as far as finding out which club you are going to which night. I am cool with that, but my buddies have read that there are certain "must attend events" on certain nights such as black out and white out parties. We were wondering if you guys knew when the clubs have certain themed nights. (We are going the 6-13th) My buddies said they have the same themed parties on the same day every week... can you guys confirm that??? 2) One of my friends is 19, the other just turned 20. They are concerned that they are going to be a bit younger than the rest of the people down there. We have been trying to assure them that they have nothing to worry about down there, as there will be plenty of girls/ people their age, or that most just wont care, but will not take the rest of our advice since we have not been down to Cancun for spring break. If you guys could put their minds to ease it would be great. Sorry for all the rookie questions. Thanks, Peter
The nights and what you do are entirely up to you, there will be tons of people in each club on each night. The white party at Basic is Friday, that's where we'll be. Spring Break is 99% college kids, so there will be thousands of people your ages there. Absolutely nothing to worry about as far as "fitting in" or anything, theres young people, old people, middle aged people. Tell them not to worry and just go and have a good time, if you worry too much about what others think, you wont have the best time you can if you just let loose and not care.
Peter - Welcome aboard! Nice to see I'm not the only one counting down the hours. I hope you're prepared for what will be the best experience of your life... Now, as for your questions. There are nights when certain places do certain things, and 9 times out 10, you'll end up at them even if you don't plan your week out in advance. Mardi Gras at Pat O'Briens on Wednesday, Booze Cruise on a few different nights, white party at Basic... it'll just happen. 2. Your friends are on the younger side, but they will have noooo problem at all with that. No one will probably care anyway.. its' Cancun. Get the liver ready.. Andrew
Somehow this made me think of a question. Has anyone ever been not able to get into a club because it was too packed?
I know they keep people in line for a while at Frogs because it's too packed. I've been on the INSIDE when they were at "max capacity" and trust me it's not a good scene. Too many people, long lines, can't get a drink, its a mess...but that's only happened to me once or twice
Ok well everyone here says frogs is good so I guess its worth the wait in line. That doesn't happen to big places like the city though?
It happens too when there is a big concert. Once we waited in line for an hour and didn't get in. The moral of the story is that if there a big line at any club, go somewhere else.
