the only cure for a hangover is prickly pear juice you gotta drink a glass of it 5 hours before you start drinking booze and it will cancel out the effects of the congeners from the alcohol but its way to expensive to actually use, this is all courtesy of manswers

I work in a pharmacy... thought I'd weigh in on this one...

Yes, the patch can help, but it is not necessary. You can accomplish this with vitamin supplements (pills) that you can buy over the counter at most drugstores. Studies have show that the most effective way to keep hangovers at bay is by drinking plenty of water before, during, and after excessive drinking sprees. After all, most of the symptoms from hangovers are due to dehydration. But studies also show that if you take a pyritinol (aka Vitamin B6) supplement to increase your daily intake to about 500-600% of what it should be, it also helps reduce the side effects from a hangover. You can find B-6 vitamins at any chain store (CVS, Walgreens, etc etc) but most likely you will see it in combination with other B vitamins (just read the ingredients and look for the %daily value amount on the bottle for the B-6. If it says 200% for example, you may want to take 3 tabs so you are getting about 600% total for it to be effective for this usage). You would not want to use this strategy long term but it should be fine once in a while!!!

Water + Food + Vitamin B (if you want to add it) = very minimal, if any, hangover!!!

Although I'm not one to talk... I think I am still hungover from last night! hah. But then again, I wasn't following my own advice and just passed out instead of doing this regimen.

Hah, yea no problem! It's amazing what pills can do. Then again I don't bother with the vitamin (or patch) route... usually just pop 800mg of ibuprofen before bed and chug down like 3 glasses of water before I pass out and the next morning, all is well!!!

Or worst comes to worst... just drink more!! I'm thinking a glass of wine could work wonders about now... hmm...

A 5hr energy shot and as much water your stomach can handle, usually keeps my hangovers away.

YAY Hartford... What bars do you usually chill at?? We tend to hang around the Allyn Street area (Pigs Eye, Pour House, the Tavern, Black Bear, etc etc)
