One last word before most of you venture to the promised land....

I figured Jason made a similar post last year, so I'll do the honors this year:

I've been hyping this trip for the past year only to find out that my training schedule won't allow it, so there goes the most hyped trip I've EVER planned. Last year was my first time to ever step foot in Cancun, and I did it all solo. I originally had some friends back out so I turned to the forum to find fellow breakers just looking for a good time. (bear with me, the sappy shit continues.....) After attending the CC party it was obvious this group could not be matched anywhere I looked. I barely even hung out with them the rest of the trip, outside of Joe and Andrew. It wasn't until after Cancun that I realized the full potential of the place: Cancun is truly a magical place, full of multicultural people all looking for a similar cause. Just to hang out and have fun. If you're going down only to try to hook up with as many women or men as you possibly can, you're missing the point. Great friendships will be made in the week you're there.

Most of the people I met on the forum and in Cancun have continued to be some of the best friends I could ask for even though none of them live remotely anywhere near Texas. Just be sure to keep an open mind. While you'll meet a lot of assholes, you'll also find some genuine people. To all the new people on the forum and for you that's going for the first time, you'll soon see exactly what I'm talking about. Cancun is a perfect place to go to meet new people and mingle. Most of us here continue to fly all over the country just to hang out, all because of the time we had in Cancun.

Enough of that.....just prepare to leave everything behind and live in every single moment while you're in Cancun. You'll never forget this trip. And judging by the way we've all been hyping it, and as well as everyone is getting along now, this trip will be epic for all of you. I'm dreading the day I log on to read a trip report and see all Henry's pictures only to realize what I missed. No other trip will compare. You all be sure and have the time of your lives. I'll see you when you get back!

 

Excellent post man, really sucks you cant make it, but maybe you'll win powerball within the next few days, tell work to F off and book a trip :aktion033: well it's wishful thinking. I couldn't agree more (not trying to steal your thunder) but this board has definitely brought me some of the best friends I could ask for, even if I do only see them once or twice a year, and only communicate via the internet and text messaging. Friendships surely to last a lifetime, I owe it all to this place here.

As for you, my friend. Tell work that you are taking a week off NEXT March, so they know well in advance, so we can get you down there for your sophomore trip! The tequila awaits!!

It's hard to tell work to F off, since I just started the career that I'll be doing 25-30 from now. Next year will be easier, my friend. I'll be there.

Thanks for singling me out as the bad guy, Chad. LOL.

We'll make up for it in in San Deigo and Vegas this summer. Appearantly Crystal has the exact same birthday as me. I think that calls for the craziest Rehab Hard Rock has ever seen.

ok fair enough, as long as you're definitely in for next year...I'm pretty much a lifer, and as much as these cats dont want to admit it right now, they will ALL be back next year!!
