Sounds sleazy because it is. Just have to fib a little bit and tell them you are staying somewhere else.
We're totallly lying and telling everyone we're staying in the Mayan Riviera. Just not sure what to tell the sister inlaw who's coming to babysit. I think we'll just say TTR, and keep the cell phone on! I noticed on the Desire website, they have alternate contact info you can give to people so you don't let the cat out of the bag.
I tell my dad proudly where I am going... he wonders why I like Cancun so much. Let's see I am 32 single the scenery of all kinds is breathtaking and the place plays right into my sense of humour and fun! What else could I ask for?
Ha! When someone asks me where we are staying I say I don't know, Jen booked the hotel. When someone asks Jen where we are staying she says I don't know, Kyle booked the hotel. At some point we will have to tell the babysitter grandparents something. Think we will go with TTR cancun.
I look at it this way, if I don't say exactly where we're going or hum and haw about it at all, people will automatically assume...especially if anyone actually does find out where you're going (or went)....just fuels the rumor mill. I figure if I just come right out and say it like any other resort..... if anyone has it in their head that we're going for something other than a vacation they'll just write the idea off as "if that was the case they wouldn't have said anything".......
We just say "Blue Bay" and leave it at that. If they do research, they'll find out that there is Blue Bay Getaway (now know as Temptations Resort) and Blue Bay Club (a family oriented hotel in Cancun). Plus, I think that now there are other Blue Bay resorts around to muddy up the water. Marsh
