Ya know I thought about it, I had bought the extra beer but only brought in 10 beers... I should have known cuz the night before they ran trucks after the busch race cuz of the rainout on friday, two races, 10 hours = lots of beer.....but damn it, i screwed up on the math for the 500 and it was way to far of a walk back to the car haha
1st time in almost 20 years we skipped the Race..going next week for bike week instead...as cold as it was we're glad we decided not to go!
I do that on every flight. You can fill the quart sized ziploc with as many mini bottles that will fit and get mixers at the airport or on the plane. Save the little bottles and refill them at the hotel for the flight home.
I fly alot, so that little trick comes in handy! The only time I've had problems at X-ray was coming home from Chicago with 2 Giordano's stuffed pizzas. They kept running my stuff back-and-forth through the x-ray and calling other workers to look at the screen. I was getting worried I left something in my bag. Then he looks at me and says "Pepperoni and Sausage", right?
...definitely pick up the beers in the parking lot after leaving the airport and enjoying them on the bus ride to the resort while making new friends! I wear my bikini under my clothes because we always seem to arrive at resorts by 11 a.m. and the room is not always ready. Quick bite at the buffet to coat our tummies and THEN get those tequila shots from J4! :ernaehrung005:
THat is awesome ...thats how I got busted in the Orlando airport this past weekend, Drinking all week and bringing beers into daytona, I had totally forgot about a few cans of beer I left in my carryon and i thought i was thurough on my pre flight list... However Same as you, kept sending it back and forth and then asked if i had gone to the race, I said yes... so he smiles and says if it was a heineken he would have let it through.... haha
I couldnt believe, honestly couldnt believe I was in Daytona Beach...I kept saying that to myself over and over again...I packed shorts and only a few long sleeve things and pants, but it was a spur of the moment trip, (free tickets to all four races) ...So i never checked the forecast or anything, figured it was Daytona Beach..I was there four years ago in february and it was 80's. . So I change into shorts in the Detroit airport bathroom during my layover, get on the plane and a few hours later the pilot says its 44 degrees in Orlando.... Ill post a pic of my buddy at the race in a minute...unbelievable
This is the funniest post I have seen on here.....probably because this is exactly how my husband is going to be! Can't wait til' our virgin trip to TTR in June!!!
