Doesn't surprise me - I think most peddlers are sexist. Anytime I'm out by myself (or even with my 58 year old padre), offers are made. If Laura and I are together, it happens from time to time, but is rare. If Laura is by herself, she's never offered anything by anyone.

Here's an actual conversation (a common one at that.)
"Hey dude, cuban cigar?"
"No"
"Wanna get high? Weed?"
"No"
"You like blow?"
"No"
"What about a woman? I got hot women."
"No, I have one already."
"But these are Mexican man."
"So is mine."
"But I mean hot Mexican."
"Yeah, I get it. So is mine."

It's almost like a script these days. As for getting more offers now: I highly doubt it. Drugs have always been cheap and easy in Mexico; the new laws didn't change that, it's all just [slightly] less shady.

Thanks Coby! You made me feel so much better, that is just isn't me. Now when I wan in Playa with my Dad walking down 5th Ave....lots of conversations started with the Cuban Cigars, but he doesn't smoke, so we didn't give them any time to offer anything else.

Yes, I have been by the Flea Market in the HZ and in Marcado 28 downtown with zero offers. And trust me, I am not complaining.
