so with the help of some research, the search button here, and most of all, some good info and advice from some of you, i'm now officially staying at the Omni and no longer at the Oasis. my friend and i also aren't getting the Studenty City party package, for the same reasons. anyway, we're planning on hitting the Oasis during the day most days, so food/drink would be covered for the most part. however, i wouldn't mind eating outside of the hotels a few times and was wondering what places you veterans consider to be worth getting to. also, i have a pretty good idea for what bars/clubs to get to, but i'm curious how you guys figure out where to go on any given night. does it depend on what you hear about during the day, or do you kind of have a predetermined idea of what bars you want to get to?
Captain Cove right across the street from Omni/Oasis is highly recommended. It's a very good seafood/steak restaurant. Which bar/club to go wise, it really depends. If you want a lot of people, you can always follow where Student City goes. Friday at Basic is a must. Another thing is to play by ear. Meet and talk to girls at Oasis during the day, find out where they are going and make plans to go out with them if you really hit it off.

Yea I kinda had the same question. I always knew to go to Oasis during the day, but I didn't know about Fridays at Basic??? What goes on there on fridays? Also, are there any like huge fattening burger joints like back here in the US? I always get those when I know I'm gonna be drinking alot.
Fridays at basic is the white party. there are vids and pics on a bunch of threads here. I dono about burgers bit we usually go to taco factory right in the club area stays open all night oh yeah and dominos pizza. but tacos is the way to go.
White Party AT Basic?? I know it's a white party but what can you get away with without looking out of place lol, or do you have to be in COMPLETE white?
you could probably go in red dude. LoL but Its the theme and anyone has a at least a white tee. you don't need white pants although I did have white shorts and a white short with white sneakers. also keep in mind girls ALYWAYS looks hot but it Isssss cancun and lots of you people so there really is no dress code for the clubs out there in general. cancun is the only place I've been where I almost always wheee shorts to the club. this time I will wear jeans a couple of the nights.
Yeah wearing shorts in the club here is unheard of lol...I figured I would wear a white tee and some shorts so Im good to go then!:icon_mrgreen:
