I was thinking the same thing...well said, I too take pics of my group or the group im hanging out with, sometimes broad shots of the fun times at the party, never a zoom shot of some strangers topless wife or anything...but it drives me nuts that every time a thread is posted about cameras, its generalized to single guys and perverts, to the point that I could be there just taking pics of my group in the pool, and some one that has read this thread or these post is going to push me in the pool....there would be hell to pay for that ... Just my opinion, im not saying people are wrong or right on this particular thread, but just seems every time this is brought up, its generalized...and thats not fair or fun either..

You know I really basically agree - we aren't that far off. I doubt you are the type that runs to within 5ft when the girls get crazy at the bar to take pics of tits. I had a number of guys ask permission to photo my wife and I would say give me your camera and go stand beside her and I'll take the pic. All involved enjoy that activity. My point was that there are a select group of mature males that do not show any degree of decency. With that said - I remember 20 years ago when i first went to Sturgis - you would of thought I was trying to get a picture of Elvis - so I guess its all relative.

Fantastic points! I feel the same way, if someone is suspicious don't take the law into your own hands as it were.

    Do one of two things.

#1.) Bring it to the attention of Chinos or one of the other entertainment staff. It's their job to make sure that everyone is being taken care of and not the subject of any humiliation.

#2.) Be tactful, if you are suspicious walk up to said person and ask if you can see their pictures... Say you think they may have got a picture of your wife etc and she is afraid of pics of her surfacing on the net for coworkers etc and you just want to make sure they aren't too bad to ease her mind. If they are protective or being suspicious then go find one of the entertainment staff or even security. Let them play police.

And remember no matter how creepy someone may be if you throw their camera in the pool (especially without proof) you better be willing to buy them a new one. Sadly at the end of the day you are in a public setting and legally may not have much of a choice in the matter. If you must take the law in to your own hands just take out the memory card.

I Fully agree that if some weird guy is trying to take pictures of your wife, then you have every right to be mad or take some sort of action, since he is pretty much affecting you and your wives good time, I didnt mean to say I disagree with that, what I wanted to convey to the ones that were reading the post , was that there are some guys that take pictures that arent perverts or mean no harm.... you are very right, there is always a few that ruin it for the rest as me and Canadian Dos Equis fan have always had to deal with, according to his posts also.....I just end up partying with so many people and meeting so many people that I tend to take a lot of pics of the drunken games we play, and if someone happens to read this and didnt meet proir and thought i was being a pervert and pushed me in the pool or threw my camera , i would be irate haha....
I just wanted to state that every situation is different, some are there and mean no bad intentions, I would never take pictures of someones wife unless they asked me too lol... or I asked to be in one of the pictures and in that case the husband would be the one taking it or in it....

Thanks Sundance and Backs13, nicely said.
I'm not on vacation to cause a stir with my camera. I also don't want to be part of problem that started becasue I'm taking pictures of people I know.

We were just there in January for the Miss Temptation contest. There were camera's everywhere, some from the resort film crew but most were just resort guests.
We don't want to end up on the internet either so we agree with what has been said. Points are all well taken and worthy of discussion.
    Some advice:
    1. Leave your sunglasses on (they go along ways in making you look like anyone else).
    2. If you play the pool games have your top on, your going to get your picture taken by 50+ camera's. Sorry but it's true.
