Hey, I am a single guy that will be traveling solo to Cancun in April. I am trying to decide on where to stay. Right now I am trying to decide between the Riu Cancun, the Golden Parnassus, and Temptations. I was trying to get feel for what Temptations is like for a single guy. I am a single guy and have gone multiple times. If hooking up with a woman is your goal you may be dissapointed. There are always some single women around who want to get playful but never a guarantee. If you want to go and have fun party in the sun and drink your ass off then by all means go. And just like anywhere else in life if you act don't you need to get laid then your odds have go up dramatically.
Thanks for the reply. I don't really care about hooking up so much. I more just want to have people to hang out with and go to clubs with. One of my friends had suggested the Riu Cancun, but it isn't adult only. I would rather not spend my vacation with a bunch of screaming kids. Also, about getting reservations for dinner. I will be coming in on a Wednesday, so I was a little worried about being able to get into the restaurants.
For a single guy going down you came across the best forum you could of come across lol I'm going down in 9 days for my second time going by myself. My best advise is get your picture up sign up for roll call and if it's in your means sign up for the boobcruise. Everyone is very friendly down there after all most of us are just happy to get away from our jobs and out to have a good time. From the first day I got down there I had people coming up to me and saying your that northernguy from canada aren't you. As this will be my 5th time as a single guy going alone, I can tell you that as long as you aren't a creepy kinda guy, you'll have nothing to worry about. It's not really any different than anywhere else, just be nice to people, tip your bartenders and waiters (Regardless of what some people tell you) and participate in the games and you will have LOADS of fun!
Oh and if you go to temptations don't worry about getting reservations for the first night, There's the buffet and if they still do it you can get burgers and stuff at the Paddy O bar until late
hey, I have done the research as well and i booked Temptation. If you just want a nice get-away where you can relax and have a blast meeting new people it sounds like this is the place to be. If you aren't there to hook up and don't look like a desperate looser you will meet a lot of great people there. The other places you are looking at won't be near as fun. I have read hundreds of reviews and this is the place to be. I'm going on March 13th, so I can let you know more after the 20th. Cheers!
