Hi guys, ive done all the traditional club 18-30 resorts in europe and am now heading out to cancun for spring break for 2 weeks starting on march the 15th. i just hace a few general questions bout the nightlife. 1. trasportation into and from town. From wat i understand the are buses running and these are the best way to travel. is this correct? 2. anybody who has done the european scene, how does cancun compare? 3. generally in the UK on a nite out, we all drink alot before going out then hit the strip half cut. Is this the general way the yanks do it? and if so wat are the clubs like for rejecting drunk people? 4. looking at picture cancun looks to be a bit of a cockfest, is this the case? 5. All the clubs seem to employ the Open bar type payment, in BCM magaluf they have a simular thing however u never got your moneys worth cos the bars were always packed and the drinks watered down, is this the case in cancun? 6. Do people go to smaller bars before hitting the clubs, or just take advantage of their all inclusive hotel?
Yup not only is it the cheapest but it's usually a blast riding the bus down to the "party zone" I like it better but I haven't down much in the way of European beach type parties (Ibiza one day I hope). The day is filled with beautiful women in bikinis. Yup thats usually the case. Basically you will wake up and start drinking. Party all day by the pool/beach then up to the room to get ready for the night out/eat. After eating, down to the lobby bar of your hotel for a little more pre-game and then off to the clubs! Depends on where you are staying. Oasis is definately a sausage party, but that doesn't mean there aren't any hot girls. As for the nightclubs, I've always found its a decent ratio of women to men except for certain nights (ie. wet tshirt night) Never once had an issue at the bars with either getting drinks/watered down. We usually take 3-4 of us and give the bartenders a nice size tip right off the bat. From there its we have always gotten better booze and quick service for the entire night. Also gotten some extra treatment such as being able to be the only guys dancing with the girls on the bar, etc. I like to mix it up like I think most people do. One night maybe pre-game @ the lobby bar then another night head down to Slices/Carlos N Charlies instead. Cancun is FILLED with parties so whatever you want to do I guarantee there will be others doing the same thing.

You will probably be staying at the Hotel Zone, there are buses running 24/7 and yes, they are the best way to go... they are cheap and they are quite fun to ride 2. anybody who has done the european scene, how does cancun compare? I think pregaming is quite popular almost everywhere, specially where clubs are really expensive, yes "yanks" do it all the time, and the "brits" and the "frenchies", pretty much everyone. As for the rejection in the clubs, unless you are totally hammered and can barely walk, you will get in... you just gotta be patient (or tip the bouncer) 4. looking at picture cancun looks to be a bit of a cockfest, is this the case? A. there are more guys than girls, yes, but there is a good chance for everyone since 3 out of 5 guys are waaaaay to wasted as to get the attention of any girl... 5. A. The secret is to tip the bartender and make sure its a good tip and he sees you so whenever you come back you get a vip treatment... 6. Do people go to smaller bars before hitting the clubs, or just take advantage of their all inclusive hotel? A. It'd be smarter taking advantage of your AI, but you know that everyone goes to oasis for the day and take advantage of THAT all inclusive for the day, then just head back to their hotel, get ready and hit a club... the ones not staying at the hotel zone (like me) probably go more to those bars... i really love them! Same with Cancun unless you have a table then you will have a waitress/waiter to bring ya coke/more bottles. Add the tequila popper shooter girls with their darn whistles too.
what about PR's, they are i nightmare in the European resorts,draggin you into bars clubs ect with promises of drinks promotions
Since when am I the expert on European scene? LOL. I've never partied in England. But comparing to Ibiza, Cancun is like a similar but more Americanized and much prettier version. Clubs are not as good but still a lot of fun.
1)Bus is the best way to get to the clubs as it is so cheap. But sometimes you just want to get home and taxi's are fairly cheap aswell. 2)Compared to your Zantes/Ayai Napas/Magalufs.., Cancun is same same but different. You'll proberly stay in much nicer accomodation, eat fairly well and see less trouble. The clubs are good but the music is not as good. In europe the drinking and partys carry on through the night, in cancun most people are in bed or passed out by 4/5!! You normally only go to one club per night as you have to pay a cover charge for your alcohol and it would be too expensive to do a bar/club crawl. 3) Yep you drink through out the day round the pool, then normally have dinner at 7/8ish. Then start properly drinking at the hotel lobby, and head out of the hotel around about 11 4) Cancun is more of a cockfest than europe, but the girls are hotter (and proberly cleaner). If your confident and have a bit of game then you should have no problem. 5) Most of the clubs work the same way as BCM, in my opinion tho I found it easier to get a drink in BCM!! In the clubs you HAVE to tip or you could be standing at the bar for some time. Drinks in the clubs aren't watered down and are super strong, but they are in the hotel especially the beer. 6) Most people just drink in the hotel then head straight to the clubs. Theres only a few bars worth visiting anyway. You do get some PR's trying to sell you tickets for clubs but they arent as persistent as in Europe. Watch out for the Tequila girls they are annoying and will make you drink until you have no more money!! Cancun is sick and you can't fail to have a good time, try not to compare it to europe holidays tho cos they both are different and have there good and bad points. Enjoy
