This will be my first time in Cancun and I'll be there for 7 days starting march 8th. My question/questions is... #1- Will $1,000 be enough cash to last the week down there(clubs, food, taxi(split 4 ways though)ALCOHOL.....) I'm not sure what else I would need money for down there but maybe somebody could fill me in because I'm sure you guys have been there more then I lol. #2- How much $ was it to get a taxi to take you from the airport to your room? And since I'm comming on the 8th of March i am assuming that the airport will be filled with Spring Breakers? How difficult will it be to get a taxi in a reasonable amount of time? Thanks.

I'd never have that much cash around. I usually take out 3000 pesos from the ATM at a time, put 2000 pesos in the safe and never carry more than 1000 pesos on me.
I like to carry american money. a G should be enough. just be careful not to be too drunk one night and go crazy, it happens.
