I'm not sure how up to date the following information is so you may want to check it out further. I do know that the ferry does run from Playa Tortuga which is at approximately KM 7 near the old Fat Tueday.

The Ferry's that goes from the hotel zone doesn't go as frequent and stops running at 5pm. I like the freedom that you get form traveling from Gran Puerto as their ferry's run every half hour and run right up to 11-30 pm. Last time we caught the ferry over from the hotel zone, we were not too happy at having to get the last ferry back at 5pm as we were really enjoying ourselves. We like to get in to the spirit of Island time and not have to worry times.

Yes, the ferry still runs from the Old Fat Tuesday area. That would be Playa Tortuga. I believe there is a more up to date schedule.

I went to Isla today. The UtlraMar schedule has 2 & 5 added to going to Iala

    And heading back has 1:30 & 4:30

And questions, let me know. Times for El Embarcadero are the same as Tortugas

We'll have a chat over a few Vodka suns and work out our plan of attack. Once we get out of the town and on to the quite roads, we'll share the driving. It's really easy driving a golf cart around Isla Mujeres.
