Is T not there anymore........man we were just there at New Year's and heading back later this month.....she never said she was leaving
We just got back. Chinos is still there. T is not. The girls are Brenda, Erin, and Amy. Of those, Erin and Amy are brand new and unfortunately it shows. They were way more inhibited than most of the guests and not really all that outgoing or even friendly (well, Amy was friendly and nice, but also very shy as it was her first week on the job.) In fact at times the entertainment staff seemed really rather aloof and bored. If I could change anything about the week, I'd wish that the girls they had would've done a better job of really connecting with the guests and showing that they were really interested in all of us having a really fun time.
I think its a tough for a woman on that job. It sure isn't for everyone. They put up with all kind of BS from guest on top of dealing with a very different job at a very different kind of place. There put out there as the center of attention and some can handle it and some can't. A lot don't make it past a week. The new men and the women take a while for them to find there nitch. Hopefully it works out for them as for us men its always fun to have a lady or two on the entertainment staff. :aetsch004:
Oh, I definitely agree. It can't be easy to have to put yourself out there in totally sexual situations everyday for your job, plus having to be nice to all the single guys, creepy or otherwise, who hit on you everyday. But at the same time, whether you're at Temptations, or just on the entertainment staff at another resort or cruise line, it's your job to be be excited and energetic and then to draw the guests into the fun - not to act like you're just too cool for the guests or the games you're supposed to be leading them in. For the new girls, I really hope it's something they'll figure out as they get more used to the job.
