If one of us can drag ourselves out of bed early enough, would we be able to reserve ourselves a chair by the sexy pool, and come back later? 21 days!!
Look back on page 3 & you'll find a post entitled " Loungers by the Sexy Pool". It covers various opinions about reserving chairs. Since I'm an early riser I usually reserve chairs for my wife & I & friends. I use the formula of one chair per couple. The reasoning behind this is you are not in your chair that much between being in the pool, being @ the bar, going to the bathroom, eating lunch, going back to the room :69: etc. This way we aren't hogging chairs but we have a central gathering place to put our stuff. If you can't find a chair most people won't mind if you store your towel & lotion under their's. Scott
We go down and throw towels only on a chair for each of us and are usually down there using them by 9:30AM at the latest. Through the years I've seen people literally like try to save like 8-10+ chairs in a row. To me that is a little over the top. Or when people save chairs yet they don't come down to there chairs until like 2 in the afternoon.
We where there from Jan 16 to 30. The first week we tried to get the best lounges by going down at 6am and they were all take. Next day I went down at 5am and most were taken. However, most of those take the folks were using them by 10am. I refused to get up bt 4am on vacation to save a lounge chair.
Jeremiah ... we were there Jan 16th to 23rd and same thing!! I concluded people were doing it at night!! What got me the most was some were guarding 2 on the Beach and 2 at the pool and would rotate ... to me that's just not right. The only way this will ever change is if the Resort gets in on it and asks people to be considerate or monitors it but that'll never happen. We stood up most of the time to watch the games because of this
So are you saying that at 6am ALL the sexy pool chairs were gone or just the good ones? Our goal is maximum sun exposure relatively near the sexy pool but doesn't have to be front row or direct view of the action. Figure we will get up for that stuff. What time do I need to reserve for chairs like that?
:sauer005:We put our towels, books and ball caps on two loungers late in the evening. However when we got there in the morning, one towel was missing, and a big girl was lying there. What do you do?? We asked her where our stuff was and she said she didn't know... That was it for our attempt at trying to get a spot around the party pool.
I'm going to bring my own chair...one of those folding camping style ones that reclines....hmm, wonder if they will allow that. Anyone know? Is it just a lack of chairs by the sexy pool that causes all the saving and scrambling, or are there plenty of chairs, just not in the best locations?
Why don't folks take beach chairs, use them when the action is going on and then put them back when the show is ova.
