You will hardly see your room is no reason to pay more, BC. It's not just the rooms are crappier, your shower/toilet may or may not work, your stuff have a higher chance of getting stolen, it's a pain in the ass to bring the boy/girl you meet at the club back to their room unless they are staying there as well, etc. No matter how you look at it, it makes no sense to stay at Oasis when you can get a much nicer place AND save money elsewhere. You can get all your partying you want during the day with an Oasis day pass anyway. Oasis is popular mainly because of Student City and all the young and naive kids who doesn't know a thing about finding deals and booking their own travel. They make up majority of the guests at Oasis. Besides a dozen or so of you stubborn die hard Oasis fans, I don't think Oasis gets a lot of repeat business. Sorry to break it to you, Oasis is no Hard Rock Vegas. Now, that's a real party hotel that's worth staying at over and over and over again. Trust me, come check it out with me this summer.

Vegas and spring break cancun are 2 totally different things, don't go there. if you don't have to, why waste time travelling back and forth from your hotel to oasis...just stay at the oasis. it's so funny because what ends up ALWAYS happening is you guys who book some OTHER hotel always ALWAYS end up at the oasis around 7pm or so eating oasis food and chilling pre-drinking for the clubs in what?.... AN OASIS ROOM! LOLOLOL!!! so trash it all you want. the bottom line is location location location and it's where everyone IS and wants to be. lol :headbanger:
ha i seem to have started a bit of a dispute over the hotels lol! im gonna try ring the oasis directly in the morn (and pray for someone who speaks some english to answer!) and see if il be able to just pay to add onto my friends room, I dont see why they wouldnt let me as it costs them nothing extra and their getting my money!! I just have to be sure that I'll be able stay with them or else I'm screwed cause I'll have to get a room on my own somewhere which will be expensive and very inconvenient!! Thats why I was thinking of Omni because I'd be guaranteed I could stay in their room! But Oasis sounds like more fun, I dont care if I'v a shit room!! Actually has any1 ever heard of any1 just booking into their friends room when they got there?? They'll be booking a room for 4 anyway so their shouldn't be any trouble should there??

Good attitude to have. If you're worried about something getting stolen, just don't bring anything expensive. If you've never stayed at Oasis, you definitely need to do it once. I'll never do it again, but it was definitely nice being that close to the party, and the food at the grand was delicious.
You obviously didn't read what I said at all. I've never ever once said Oasis is not the best place to party during the day in Cancun. In fact, I pointed it out many times that it is where people should go to party during the day. My point was that you can get the best of both worlds (ie staying at much nicer hotel and buy day pass to party at Oasis) for cheaper so it makes no sense to pay more to stay at Oasis. If you want to disprove what I said, you should find reasons of why Oasis is a better accomandation or show how it's cheaper to stay there than the alternative I offered. Giving examples of how Oasis is indeed a lot of fun is not really a counter argument to my point. And I also said "Besides a dozen or so of you stubborn die hard Oasis fans" when referring to no repeat business of majority of the guests there. You guys are so biased to the point that evaluating pros and cons means nothing to you when it comes to deciding where to stay in Cancun. You will stay at Oasis no matter what. There could be cockroaches and rats crawling in the rooms and butt rapists attacking random guests and you'll still stay there. Right? LOL. And the rest of us who are not staying at Oasis only spend so much time travel back and forth because we love hanging out with you guys. If you are all staying at a hostel downtown, we'll be doing a lot of traveling back and forth there too. :aktion060: Don't worry, we are all friends in real life and this debate has been going on for years and years, WAY before you joined cancuncare.
If they are paying for a room for 4, then you won't have to pay extra to stay there. You'll get 4 wristbands. All inclusive hotels charge per person because that's each person will cost them certain amount of food/drink. Non all inclusive hotels charge per room. That's the main difference between the two.
That's not exactly a correct statement. You can't get food at Grand if you are just staying at the regular Oasis.
