It's about 30 minutes outside of Downtown Cancun...heading towards Merida. So you are far, far away for the bubble of tourist Cancun. If you go, go with a local...not just someone that speaks Spanish. Prostitution is legal in Mexico, you just can't solicite, so they work in these establishments. Taxi fair can be three times higher to leave there then it was to get you there. I think it's a rib off..the entire evening. But that is my opinion. Just be careful.....you have mentioned previously that you are somewhat of a goody goody, and this area is for someone who has thick skin....lots of drugs and sex...that is why most people go to Plaza 21.
