Hey, so this is my first spring break in Cancun, i was originaly booked in the oasis cancun but the company i booked it through moved me to the 5 star gran caribe real at no extra charge. (good move?) any ways im going to be there from march 6th-13th. I am with 15 other people from my school (prob will be hanging out with like 3-5 of them mainly) and got a quad room with my buddy and 2 girls. what do you guys recomend doing? ex. xel-ha, xcaret, oasis day pass, see the ruins, etc... the clubs i wanna hit are: coco bongo, the city, basic, senor frogs and possibly dady'o and bulldog. any others that i should go to? Im kinda worried that when i go to my hotel its going to be lame and really low key, not a spring break atmosphere... should i be worried? anyone stayed here before? how is this place? any live performances going on durring my dates at any of the clubs? will MTV or anyone like that be here? any spring break vetrans have any advice for me? and yah im rooming with 2 girls but i am single so i plan on bringin back a couple others too best places to meet ladies? clubs or bars better for that? sorry about all the questions, i just have no idea what to expect and want to hear from people that have been through this a couple times. thanks! Not sure about your hotel, but Oasis is the spring break atmosphere but you can get a day pass for there! Plus it's spring break in Cancun, no matter how hard anyone tries they won't be able to get away from the SB atmosphere. I've only ever gone on a jet ski and been to a football match, but i plan on doing some of the other stuff this year too. Live porformances start appearing about 4 weeks before so we shld know in about 2 weeks time.... plus they can add people on the day so you just have to look out for flyers and banners in the sky! All those clubs are good apart from Bulldogs, i'd avoid that like the plauge... Clubs are the best way of meetnig girls, but bring your game with you, you're going to need it. On the subject of girls, what are the ones like that are with you... photo's needed....
I've been to both xcaret and xel ha, both are great but I would only do one each year, last year I went to xcaret so this year I'll be going to xel ha.
there both pretty close but i would probably say i like xel ha more espically when u have a hangover, floating down there huge river on tubes is the most relaxing thing ever hahaha
When i went it was the biggest sausage fest i had ever been in, it was so hot because they didn't stop letting people in even though you couldn't move. I wasn't being a scrooge, i'm all for a club being packed out but it was so packed out you couldn't breathe, then when we tried to get out to get to another club we tried to escape by the entrance and they made us go back in side and squeeze our way through to the exit which because it was so full took 30 minutes!
