Ok ladies and gentleman let me set the record straight about the Oasis Cancun Rooms. There is nothing special about the rooms, just a place to lay your head, shower, change, and do the business. Below is a checklist I use the minute I walk in the room and if any of my issues fail the list I immediately get a different one. The frustrating part of you as a guest and the front desk is communication...seems like no one wants to help you. They do its just tough because all the rooms are pre issued based on checkouts and the envelopes are prepared with your name on it for when you arrive. If you go through this checklist it will help your transition to the best party hotel go smooth. 1. Make sure your sliding balcony door locks 2. AC Works 3. Toilet Flushes 4. Sink Drains 5. Tub Drains 6. No Leaks, or water on floor...usually wet upon entering do to being mopped. However you can see an obvious leak coming from ceiling. 7. Room has a safe box 8. Room Door locks If all these issues pass, its usually going to be a good room for the week. If you have an issue, do not wait until the matter gets worse address it immediately and try and be patient because there are thousands of breakers who are either checking in or out. Be polite, when addressing the issue with the front desk...being hostile, rude, and loud will just make you wait longer. "PM" me if you have any additional questions, I should arrive on the 10th of Marzo for 2 weeks so if anyone gets there after that, I can assist you the best as possible and point you to the right person to assist you. "PM" me for my Mexican Telcel # I always have my phone on me.
WOW thanks for all the good information, i am staying there the 7-12 so ill be there one day with you!! i am thinking about staying 2 more days... i will deff check my room out... can you PM me the checklist thank you!!
I also found the curtains in the shower nowhere near close enough to the floor to keep water in, so every time I got out the bathroom floor was covered in water. KP, you were there around the same time as I was last year, what was the deal with the water? It wasn't just at Oasis, but up the strip you could even smell it in places.
Dont know, what that smell is definitely something in the air.. I never drink it since my first trip ((Montazuma's Revenge)) but I must say the Ice has definitely gotten better. I used to stay away from that as well. Shower curtain is minor...hey its a good thing to add to the list of bringing on your own. I just toss some towels down and Im good to go. But your right floor does get soaked...i busted my @#$ before making that left turn coming from the bathroom. Dam near broke my back ! was liquored up blame it on the alcohol
hey guys is id a big thing for the clubs in cancun? would i need 2 bring my passport with me? or a drivers license? when im heading out
