It seems like Cancun has tons of clubs, but are there any bars that are worth checking out? I like clubs, but sometimes I'm more interested in meeting girls in a bar. Any ideas?
Welcome to the Boards Slices, Congo, Dos Equis and Corona Bar are smaller style bars that alot of locals go to ((My Favorites)) I prefer these spots over a crowded night club any day. Cover is usually free and open bar is usually no more than 20usd can't beat that...These locations are within the hotel zone club district. And you can usually see who is inside and hear what is playing from the street.
my personal favorite is Terrasta and about Taco Factory... i know some better, less expensive tacos lol those are my favorites!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry but I just absolutely LOVEEE slices!!! Terrasta is always too packed for me.... and never found Nectar!
is terrasta another local type of place? i made it a point to hit places like that in cabo this summer and made friends with some cool people. i don't know how it is in cancun, but in cabo, they seemed to be pleasantly surprised when a younger person was fluent and chatted them up.
yeah i'm okay with spanish.... and they just kinda laugh all the time because im a gringa speaking espanol! terrasta is more of a bar then a club. Open air but has a roof, and even a 2nd floor but the stairs are creepy
i was there all the time i could go running up and down blindfolded and be perfectly fine lol and its not really a local bar... cancun locals party everywhere, at the hotel zone, downtown, playa del carmen, pretty much anywhere... but no, terrasta is not really a "local" bar
