are all the bars hoppin regardless of where student city is? my friend and i are considering getting their party package for a few reasons.. - it'll kind of force us into seeing every club once, which might not be terrible since we've never been. - we're thinking most student city people will be staying at the oasis since it's their HQ, and that's where we're staying. we don't want to limit ourselves to just people staying at the oasis, but it is tough for people to get into the oasis. - the express entry to the bars or whatever. we're still not sold on the student city package, but i think we'd consider not doing it more strongly if we didn't have to wait in really long lines to get into the bars.
dont get the party pass from them!! if u end up not liking a place u go with them and want to leave, then ur stuck payin full cover at another place. I hate having every night planned out for me, in my opinion its better to just do your own thing on each night, no matter what every club n bar is gonna be pretty packed on any given night. also sometimes if you talk to the street vendors who are selling tix for their club, u can get a vip pass from them and not have to wait in line. worked for fletch and I a few times over the years.good luck
it doesn't seem too much more expensive to do it separate each night, and the extra $30 or whatever over the course of the week would be worth it to pick where we want to go. couple more questions though.. - if you can't avoid the lines, how bad can they get, and how early should we get to places to try and not wait too long? - do you know if student city sell them for individual nights? - student city or otherwise, what's the most we'd have to pay to get into a place? $50-$60?
60 bucks max to get into clubs, thats for coco bongo and the city, u can buy them in advance in the street for 5-10 bucks cheaper. other clubs are about 35 bucks to get in, and of course they all include open bar for the night. no u cant buy certain nights through studentciity. longest i ever waited in line was 1 hr. there are times where there are concerts at the city, and u cud be in line for 2 hours or so. most people seem to arrive at the clubs in full force around 11, so we try to head out around 10 or so and beat a little bit of the lines.
Yep, I would avoid the party passes as well............. pick and choose what places you want to go to!! Thats the best way to do it!
starting to think that's the way to go. the only thing that would've been nice about student city ahead of time would be not having to worry about getting that $ once i'm down there, but that's no big deal. it seems like if we get to a place around 9 30 or 10, we won't have to worry about the lines so much. if you get cheaper tix on the street though, is there any concern about them being fake?
The lines were so long it was impossible for me to get enough drinks down to even get drunk. Never again!
