Richard Linklater (known as Rick in high school) grew up in Huntsville, Texas. In the movie, it was Austin, but it was about our high school in Huntsville. He is three years older than me. All of those characters are real people (saw the real "Wooderson" last night) and the places are real (drank many beers at the fire tower). Cape Couple, the movie is "Elf".
