I will be landing in the wonderful world of cancun before noon on Saturday March 6, 2010, and departing for colder pastures at 2pm on Sunday March 14, 2010. Game on!!!!
Are you flying out of BDL or one of the NYC airports? Curious as to what the airfare difference was for you versus what we booked (I have directs on Delta from BDL to CUN, Saturday to Saturday - the ONLY day the direct flights from BDL are available)...
bdl would have been close to 400 and it was a connection flight for me i got a direct flight from ewr for 360
Yeah...that's pricey for having a connection! We have directs (like 4 hours) with great times on Delta from BDL to CUN - and it was around $500. I'm hoping for the upgrade - have status with Delta - and free booze in business could be especially dangerous...and make the baggage/customs process fly by...of course, that means I'm drunk upon arrival by noon on Day 1...helluva way to kick things off! Went to Mexico City one time for work, and there was a shuttle from plane into terminal. When we were enroute back home, it was the same setup. Told one of my colleagues that I hadn't seen that before - when I had experienced the same thing (hammered) a week before. Buying the large bottle of SoCo in duty free in Dallas and opening on the plane - funny, but a bad idea, and of dubious legality...haa! Think we had a list of things "not to do" in Mexico City that trip - and crossed everything off the first night...
Surprised it's that much...I've seen some awesome Atlanta to Cancun flight specials in the past...but it will be well worth it :lotsofmichaelfs:
