I "think" :aktion025: we have decided on The Royal Playa Del Carmen for May 25th to June 2rd so 8 days 7 nights. I called and they said ( if available) We can split our vacation up half in playa half at the Royal in Cancun for no extra cost. I think we will probley stay the whole time in Playa or maybe do two days in Cancun not sure if depends on how we like Playa but I like that it's available.

We want to do Cozmel one day and I am not sure what else since we have did most of the "must do cancun tours already" Has anyone ever stayed at the Royal? It looks so beautiful reviews are good and the video's i've seen is great. Has a good beach and is right by 5th street. Food reviews are great which is a plus. Since it will be just me and hubby on vacation first time with noone else with us! We are very excited. Also we will be there on our 14 year wedding annv.

We are getting very excited! We will be flying out of Okc this time and not Dallas ( where we usually had to fly out) but this time it is cheaper to fly out of okc! We should be paying in 30 or so days hope rates dont go up by then.

I'm in Tulsa. WOuld you mind sharing which airline/tour group you're using for flights out of OKC? We've done that in the past and found it really convenient, but I thought MLT/WorryFree was the only one that did that, at least for a halfway competitive price.

We fly out of DFW most of the time, but flew out of OKC in October. DFW in december. I like to shop in Dallas, so flying out of there is fine, but flying into OKC and driving 20 minutes to Edmond works sooooo well to.

We have walked thru the Royal. It is a wonderful place. One of if not the best place in Playa. You will absolutely love it, and for the price you should!

Just take the ferry over to Cozumel. Don't buy round trip tickets. Just get one way tickets each time. There are mulitiple ferry operations and if you buy round trip, you will have to ride that ferry, and it might cost you an hour or two waiting. About a 30 minute trip.

We will be doing conzmel i think :aktion033: My only concern is that we are going to get bored in playa for 8 days.. We want to relax a bit but we like to be up and doing things. We may split 4 days in playa and 4 days in cancun at the Royal in Cancun. We won't decide until we get to playa. How big is playa? Is it so small you can see it all in one day? Don't get me wrong I WANT to relax but I want to have fun also!! lol

Its not that big, but 5th avenue and the surrounding area is full of shops....if you like that sort of thing. I like the higher end clothing, etc...but not real found of everyone pestering me to come into their stores and shop for trinkets and what not, but you could spend a few days getting around there. 2 hour massages for $50 bucks. Pedicures for $15. Found a great place for that sort of thing if you would like to know.

Lots to see though. Great diving and snorkeling in Cozumel of course, and you can book trips in Playa as well. We did the dolphin swim, as Steve on the site here posted a 50% off deal last summer. It was really awesome, as we wouldn't have done it without the deal. It was only about 10 minutes south of Playa....Of course the ruins and stuff are much closer down there than if you are in Cancun, but we go to relax and shop...diving, and eating. That sums it up, lol....and a trip to CocoBongo or two. :icon_biggrin:
